Framing a Window Opening in a Log House 

Too bad about the windows. They used nice Swedish Coping and Saddle Notching on the logs. The logs must have been high in moisture - best to use logs that have been dead for a long time (vertical drying of dead wood hardly shrinks at all).

Can you build a log home yourself? Do you travel? I wonder if you'd come and build my home.

I mean I own a log house since very little time . And need to learn so much!
