All the big teams exept Spain are playing in walking pace and very underwelming. In the 41 years im alive, I havent seen such an atrocious big tournament. And Ive been following football since I was a little boy. Im Dutch so I hope for us to win it all, but honestly the way Spain have been playing; they're the only team that deserve it.

The Spain vs France match is going to be interesting France only got scored against once in the entire tournament and it was a penalty they got to shoot twice after getting the first blocked. I don't remember a team reaching semi finals with a defensive record that insane. Of course everyone talks about their underperforming attack considering mbappe/dembele/griezman/barcola are far from bad players but people need to see how hilarious the defensive stat is but on the other side there's spain with the best attack of the tournament , nico williams and lamine yamal adding that dribbling and one on one elimination that spain lacked for years with their possession for possession playstyle getting no goals in. Olmo and morata are also pretty efficient in front of the goal for crosses from the fast wingers. either Deschamps manages to make france neutralize spain's attack like they did to belgium/portugal/holland/austria and we're in for 120 minutes of absolute painful football with maybe a lucky goal at some point/penalties or spain manages to break through and deschamps turns on the attack mode and we could see a much more open game with lots of goals , as we've seen several times against argentina for example when you get a lead on france they start actually attacking and it makes MUCH more interesting games but don't get it twisted , Deschamps will wake up on the day of the match with a hard on thinking about all the spanish/french fans who paid 5K€ for the stadium seat+travel+hotel+expenses who will sit in front of a 120 minutes 0-0 , if spain doesnt score early its going to be horrible to watch.

Tbh, this Euro cured me of any interest in football. Every team that deserved to go through got fucked by bad luck. Germany should have won against Spain, Portugal played way better than France, Switzerland played better than England, the only match that was somewhat balanced was Turkey vs Netherlands where the Netherlands got through as the only somewhat deserved half final side.

I find it curious that so many critics and pundits don't seem to realise that France aren't actually playing negative football because they want to, this time. It's because their attack is actually dysfunctional. Mbappé has been terrible, even before the broken nose. Giroud gets no minutes (I assume because his legs have left him). Barcola gets no minutes either, because he's Mbappé's backup. Griezmann looks even more tired and worn out than Harry Kane. Thuram and Kolo Muani aren't target men like Giroud or Benzema and don't function because of it. Dembélé has been a bright spot, but his trademark lack of consistency and football IQ let him down.

Did you even see the situation with Pedri? Kroos got the ball first, Pedri was late. Not Kroos' fault Pedri is made of glass. Also after Kroos got his yellow card he played much more careful, he would not have gotten sent off, he would have simply played less aggressive. Vitinha had to play to the wing because neither Bernardo nor Bruno were moving or running. We were crossing but nobody was on the box, only Ronaldo, and that is not enough, and the only thing Rafael, Nunes and Cancelo could do was try to cross.

After I saw that France had won (and on penalties too...didn't see that coming) I made the choice to not go that day. That being said, when I did go today and offered my condolences and respect the cashier told me that the whole bakery was emotional yesterday. I think I made the right choice not to go that day😅. Portugal will bounce back though ( I still don't trust Martinez) and fair play to France.

This Euro's has been bewildering. As a Germany fan, the game was exhilarating but also frustrating. I think Germany was the better team overall but just couldn't get the ball into the net. Proud of the team. I'm also baffled how France and Englad made it to the semis. Both teams have been poor and reminded me of Protugal in Euro 2016.

Deschamps irritates me with his anti-football. it was at times frustrating before when they played in bursts. And he insists on using the utterly useless Thuram. Put Giroud in: he at least does know how to score. And like Weghorst, his hold-up play creates chances for the Dembeles and Mbappes (who is clearly not himself). I do think, though, that they really miss Pogba. Props to Koeman as you say for making that substitution at half time. I would have started Donyell Malen in lieu of the underwhelming Bergwijn.

German TV asked Uefa to confirm whether or not Füllkrug was offside and they didn't provide an answer (already sus) and when they themselves drew a line they said it wasn't offside.

Wasn't offside, it was a throw in in the sequence of the play, that is what the refs and the VAR decided. I would be OK if the play was an offside or a penalty, not reviewing it was inexcusable.

The quarter finals had the concistent theme of the clearly worse team going through to the semi's Germany played by far better than Spain, Switzerland played way better than England, turkey was slightly better and in comparison to frnace, portugal had at least offensive ideas Football terrorism wins unfortunately

Hey man, numeroous news outlets have already debunked this "handball" theory. The problem here is that, like in a lot of other things, people don't read the rulebook and/or know the letter of the law. ESPN did an article on this issue after game and this is what they said: "In his pre-tournament briefing, Roberto Rosetti, UEFA's head of referees, gave specific examples of handball penalties -- for and against. Rosetti showed a clip of the ball hitting a defender's arm from a shot on goal. The arm was in a vertical position, close to the body. Rosetti said: "Not every touch of arm, hand is a penalty. We want to consider the movement of the players. Biomechanical movements. You know, this is a clear situation. This is never a penalty." The example given was very close to the Cucurella incident. While handball in UEFA competitions remains more strict, it has tried to give at least some more leeway to defenders so they don't need to have their hand behind their back. So UEFA says that a defender in a standing position when the ball hits their arm at or close to their side, in position vertically, and/or with the arm behind the line of the body, it should not be punished. That Cucurella was bringing his arm in is a factor, as that's deemed to be removing a possible barrier (though you could be deemed to be doing that in a deliberate handball action.)" The Spanish sports newspaper "AS", also did a story which included the graphic which UEFA used in the presentation by Rosetti to show what and what should not be considered a handball. Based on that graphic, Taylor was absolutely correct to not call a handball.

I've been praying Portugal lose all tournament, heck for the past 20 years! But they were by far the better team against France and the only reason they lost that game is CR7! He's no longer their talisman, he's become the millstone around their necks! They wouldn't have won in 2016 had he not got injured early in the final....That galvanised the team to win that game! CR7's obsession with caps and goals records is stultifying Portugal - They would be far better off without him! The difference between Cristiano and Lionel is that Lionel plays for the TEAM, Cristiano plays for HIMSELF!
