I'm a white french. This video makes no sense. Most of these players were either born or raised in France. If they have other nationalities it's mainly because their family passed to them. They are as french as me. There is no such thing as a french ethnicity, unlike some of you say. It's about representing the country, and these guys do it better than a lot of white people. Why ? Because France is a multicultural country. We don't care about skin color or your ethnicity, what matters is the love of the player for the country and their football skills.

Almost all players from the French NT were born and raised in France with the exceptions of Camavinga and Thuram but both came to France when they were infants.

Like yall need to understand that as late as the 18th century, people weren't considering themselves French but rather from their region, they were just "subject of the king of France", but they didn't feel French, and didn't even consider the other french regions as part of the same ethnicity. So the whole idea behind the creation of the French constitution is that France isn't based of an ethnicity, and this idea was reinforced through the fact that multiples waves of immigration happened since. So I guess suddenly being from a country just because you're born there can be weird for citizens of countries that are mostly all from the same ethnicity, but in France there's not rly such thing as a "french race" that would justify making a difference between someone having a grandmother who's senegalese and another one having a great grandfather from Poland or Italy

Uh, yeah Mbappe was born and raised in France. His dad was from Cameroon, but he was not. He's French. That leads me to doubt the rest of this. Besides I think you can swap citizenship and live in a country for 7 years and become a citizen and then play for that national team sooooo, yeah the players didn't make the rules. And Lucas Hernández was born in Marseille as was his brother Theo. Upemecano was born in Évreux France and Dembélé was born in Vernon France so yeah. Their parents may not have been or may have blood from elsewhere but I'm sure if I keep looking I'll find even more who were born in France.
