French President Emmanuel Macron has offered to loan Britain the Bayeux Tapestry, which documents the decisive 1066 Battle of Hastings, in a potentially provocative effort to strengthen bilateral relations.

yes it is, but don't forget : vae victis. We can loke or dislike M. macron, but his foreign policy is not so bad, even if he just "follows" the proposition of his administration. But yes, the idea of the loan is great idea. About the migrant, we know that these migrant want to go UK and the easier solution is to be hidden in a truck. and we know that for security logic, the control must be done before the travel. So there is no choice for UK and France : the border has to be in Calais and UK has to participate. And i believe that it is so complexe to "calculate" the price of all of facilities linked to the border and share the cost. We have no choice, just find a agreement between UK and France.
