I was rooting for Brazil to win but then when I saw Belgium in the first and second round, they grew on me. I was sure that I was rooting for Belgium to win right after I saw them and Japan. And about you golden generation it is not over yet...the real deal is Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Meunier and Courtois and these guys are still young. The "old" ones in defense were not your stronger point during the tournament and I'm sure you will be able to find good players to take over. So beware of the Belgium team for the next Euro and WC, they will still be potential winners for sure !

@@MrAnylas on est surtout sur deux équipes qui ne jouent pas sur leur terrain, contrairement a Brésil-Allemagne, où là c'était juste une humiliation. J'ai été fier de l'équipe de France, mais triste pour la Belgique, surtout après ce match mémorable qu'ils nous ont sorti contre le Japon. Hâte de voir l'Euro en 2021, avec le retour des Pays-Bas et de l'Italie. Ça va être chaud et j'espère que le gagnant sera plus méritant que le Portugal en 2016

....I hope one day Ballondor should consider on a defensive player, a player like "N'golo Kante". ....When you have him in your team and you know you gonna win the ball back over and over. Football is not just about "fairness", it's about putting the ball into the net ... Brazil had plenty of chances to score against Belgium, but they didn't. Many said Brazil didn't "deserve" to lose the match. Today, Belgium also had chances to score against France... but they didn't. I guess the "fair" result in both games would have been a draw. But, again, that's football: you win by scoring goals. Congratulations to France!

There is some truth in it. But...sometimes, some "scoring goals" are gifted ones by the "men in black",like we use to call them. So,it comes down to a litlle bit of fairness, like you called it.

If you're devastated because of a referee issue, you don't really deserve to win, at least at this level of competition in a WC. France learned that the hard way. Belgium, Croatia has to understand that. Hope for them they learned the lesson.
