You look at the 2 teams that are playing against each other tomorrow in France and Belgium, you would think that there’s a straightforward winner for this game, but neither of them have yet to truly convince at this tournament and they haven’t found their form and maybe things could change tomorrow. This should be a 50-50 game for both teams and who knows we could see something that was lacking with both teams during the group stages which was goals. It’s true that France are a much better team than them and many people are expecting them to win and they should, for a team who’s seen as one of the contenders to win the EUROs, they’ve been very disappointing by their standards. For a team that has the best player in the world and a lot of attacking firepower, they’ve only scored 2 goals in 3 games one was an own goal and the other was a penalty meaning that going forward there’s a lack of proficiency in attack with them yet to score an actual goal at this tournament and there’s a lethargic look about this team that Didier Deschamps needs to resolve before Belgium surprisingly knocks them out. They looked ok during most parts of their opening game against an Austria team that looks good, they should’ve beaten the Netherlands and with them being unable to beat a Poland team that had nothing to play for, they put themselves in a difficult situation where on their road to the final they have to beat the likes of Germany Portugal and Spain if they are to win the EUROs. Normally in major tournaments, they come into their own during the knockouts and remember in 2018, they won the World Cup despite being so underwhelming in the group stages and if they’re able to work things out, history could repeat itself. If they’ve been unconvincing, it’s not like Belgium has been any better than them. No matter how bad they’ve been, do you really think they have a chance at beating France, the only positive thing for them is that they’re seen as massive underdogs and who knows that could play a role in their favor as certain teams do better as the underdogs than the favorites. In a group that is supposed to be very easy for them, they had the same number of points as Romania Slovakia and Ukraine who are much more vulnerable teams than them on paper. Apart from their 2-0 win against Romania, they haven’t looked all that great either. During their 1-0 loss against Slovakia they weren’t clinical in attack and lacked any cutting edge in the final third and it’s true that they had 2 goals that were disallowed, a team of this caliber shouldn’t be relying on VAR to be beating weak opposition and also they should’ve lost against Ukraine because they weren’t that good and they were lucky to even draw that game and some of their issues and drama hasn’t changed at all with some of the fans turning against the team and they want more from the players. I’m still backing France to hit top form and beat Belgium tomorrow and it wouldn’t be shocking if they get eliminated especially if they don’t step up.

I'm French and I really don't like how this match-up is being portrayed. Make no mistake, this is a 50-50 contest or at best a 55-45. The way pundits talk about France on this channel (seeing their bracket predictions for instance), you'd think France has been blowing teams away like Spain in the tournament. They've been underwhelming, they haven't scored a single goal in open play yet. They've created chances but the finishing issue has been worrying. I don't have a good feeling about the game tomorrow, it's going to be so much closer than what people think. This Belgium team is not to be underestimated, especially their offensive players. France likes to be solid defensively, absorb pressure and then break on the counter but I think Belgium can and will hurt us on the counter as well. Kevin de Bruyne and Lukaku can wreak havoc in our defence and Jérémy Doku is an absolute menace (God help Jules Koundé 🙏🏼) I think we would do well to remember Euro 2021: after a scrappy group phase, France crashed out in the R16. Hopefully, history doesn't repeat itself.

Well so far for knockouts my only prediction has come true ( Switzerland beating italy but in that too I said in extra time 😭) I'm predicting Belgium win for this one 💀

I think Belgium is going to “upset” France I don’t know who these guys have been watching but Kante is the only one who has played well for France, the rest of the team has not.

This Belgium side is being underrated. They create a lot of chances every game and tomorrow may just be Lukaku's day.

Belgium has Quality. If they keep their focus and defend well especially in the first 25 minutes. They will create decent chances given the quality going forward and may be able to pull a victory just based on willpower and skill. France are the favorite tho especially the way kante is playing 😅.

I'm sorry but Belgium played great vs Romania and everyone forgets that game. Sure the Ukraine game was disappointing and Belgium did play in what was supposed to be the "weakest group" yet Slovakia almost threw top-favourites England out of the Euros and people will also forget that. It's just unfair analysis here. France didn't show one single good thing in 3 games but Belgium actually atleast had one great game vs Romania and everyone seems to forget that? I mean sometimes I question whether pundits really do watch the games?
