I was abused by my ex husband for 7 years . he tried to kill me several times . he put a knife to my throat . I had several black eyes , bruised tailbone, bruised ribs, 6 miscarriages. tried to kill myself 2 times but daughter walked in on me while I sliced my wrist. I have been a Christian since I was 12 . I thought God left me during this time but he was there and he was always there. I left my ex and have been happy ever since. I have a 12 year old daughter and got a good job. thank you Jesus

When I was 16, I downed enough anti depressants to kill me. The Lord saw to it I was found and my stomach pumped. I am a 51 year old grandmother now who has had victory in Jesus over depression since the attempted suicide. I so feel for you and others battling depression. My life is living proof THERE IS A GOD.

I felt unmotivated to live. Temptations keeps on coming and I keep hearing things from myself that I may not be that special.. Like the human that I am, I forgot His promise. I hid it I never told a soul until I was 18 i was a cutter I was promiscuous a alcoholic and drug addict . when I was 18 i oded and when I was unconscious I felt God holding me saying he has a purpose for me. 6 years later I had my first child whom is a miracle she was born blue 2 years later I gave birth to my son and left my abusive marriage. I am now clean and sober for 12 years. only through God's amazing love and grace am I alive.

This song always hits me hard. I was physically, mentally, and sexually abused by my father growing up. He thinks he didn't do anything wrong but knowing I have a heavenly Father is worth all the heartache and knowing God knows my name is truly beautiful. I love you, Jesus!!

So if you want to be forgiven and be with God in heaven someday, please give your life to Jesus. He died on the cross to take the punishment of ours sins, so we don't have to go to hell. Saman Mahjoob I was 27 years old when I became a Christian. My sins came into full light. I was going through a marriage separation and eventual divorce. As soon as I was saved (i.e, born again, i.e a believer in Jesus, i.e.. became a Christian), I said I was going to read the Bible cover to cover for the first time. It took 2 to 3 months. There are many Christian radio stations with Bible teaching also. Check out Dawson McCalister who has a weekly call in show for teenagers. He's probably on the internet in a podcast. I'm not a woman, but I've done alot of these things. I was bulled my whole life and my freshman year of high school i didnt care about school the only reason why i went was for football. Then a week before my 16th birthday my mom and dad finalized their divorce and from there my life literately went down hill. I started to shoplift and got caught at Walmart on Superbowl Sunday 2009 I got lucky, because i only had to take a forgiveness class that made me not shoplift anymore. After that happened I slowly started to develop Depression and Suicidal thoughts. By the time i was 17 I knew about God I knew about Jesus and how he died for me, but I didnt know Him so I didn't know about immoral sexual acts so I lost my virginity the summer between my Junior and Senior years. My Senior year of high school Depression was up and down and I started pushing my mom(shes like my best friend now) and my siblings away I hated my dad and I had a girlfriend that to me didnt care about me anymore. I didnt care about life anymore so I listened to the thoughts about suicide and everyday it got worse and I didnt want to play football anymore and I lost scholarships for different colleges and universities, and when I graduated high school I was happy but I still didnt care. Between graduation to my 19th birthday my girlfriend at the time didn't love me anymore my life was getting worse I didnt have a job, I didnt know what I was going in my life and the family that still loved me didnt see me because I didnt want to socialize and I didnt care. So on March 10, 2012 I sat up on my ex girlfriend's bed while she was in the shower and I took an iPod cord and I wrapped it around my neck and squeezed and 2 minutes in I heard "Do not do this child." I ignored it and it felt like 4 minutes but I know it was only 4 seconds I felt my arms loosening and i threw the cord and I felt real true love wrap around me and the wall break down and my stone heart turn to liquid. I heard in my ear "Child why are you doing this? I love you and I have more for you to do you want to know me but you're not letting me in I am your savior your king your friend." From that day on I have only had 4 breakdowns and everytime He lifted me up. I went through a program called Men Alive(broke my ankle while doing it) through a non profit organization called Church Community Services. I have a job now and God called me to Pastoral Evangelism I have my learner permit for driving and I plan to go to college in a year. I'm far from perfect, but I know He knows my name, because I am a child of the one TRUE King!

This video really touched my heart. I have been feeling ashamed of my past for so long, but seeing this brave ladies sharing their testimony made me realize that I shouldn't hide my own testimony from others out of shame but I should share it because it shows the power, grace, and love of God.
Watched this video... I'm the youngest female with three older brothers. Im a freshman in college. Three days after I watched this, I found out my Dad has stage four cancer. Not sure the type yet but some are in his colon. Kind of freaking out with the relatability to this video. Prayers please.

These women are so brave! Whenever you have doubts it is so great to remember that we have Our Holy Father there for us. It makes me happy to know how His mercy is endless and His love is infinite.
I love this song!! And the video is great to go with it!! Growing up I never felt good enough for anything or anyone. I sought attention from guys thinking that that would make feel good enough, pretty enough. And when it didn't, I thought it was God punishing me. I struggled with depression and self harm for several years. I thought God had abandoned me because I would pray for healing but I'd never see it happen instantly. So I thought that since God didn't love me, why should I love Him? So I walked away from Him. I decided that it would be better to turn my back on God and ignore Him than be constantly disappointed by Him. Needless to say that that didn't work. That didn't make me happy, and it most definitely didn't heal me. Once I finally understood that God loves me and has always been there, watching me and guiding me, is when I started to heal. I wish it didn't take what it did for me to realize that though. I had planned on ending it all that day, but before I could let go of the wheel God saved me. As strange as it may be, He gave me a vision of two small children and when that vision left my eyes, I was in my driveway. I knew that it was God saving me. So I made the decision to try to repay Him for doing that. I know that I could never repay God for what He did for me, but that doesn't stop me from living my life for Him. A life that HE saved wasn't going to be wasted if I could help it. I've since learned that it doesn't matter what others think. I may never be good enough, or pretty enough or thin enough, but as long as God loves me... that's all that matters!
The one thing I love about this song/video is that song needs to be ministry put to music. The fact that Francesca put stories behind this song is beautiful. Of course this song means something different to everyone, but the one thing remains is that no matter where in life God has placed you or whatever situation(s) you have encountered in life, He IS the creator of all things and He knows you on the most personal level and we never need to worry about making a name for yourself here on Earth unless its for His glory. Francesca used amazing examples in this video and I feel its necessary in this situation because so many people in this world go through the same thing and if it wasnt for these stories in this song, those people might not have that hope that these women did. this has helped me gather the courage to stand against my abusive parents and the bullies at my school im thinking about going to church because i have seen a vision of God i remember the exact words that He said everything will be ok and that He will protect me :) ill never forget that one life changing dream of Him I shall serve Him and Him only I have learned to fight back from the bullies and forgive them for what they have done

Sometimes I get really shy too. I would definitely encourage you in those moments to send up a little prayer to God. You could say something like " hey God, I'm feeling a little shy right now but I pray for courage in this situation". And/or you could repeat this verse in Isaiah, 40:31 says ' but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not go weary, they will walk and not be faint'. God's love is so AMAZING that he can help you in any situation. God always meets us where we are, okay. I will also keep you in prayer! When you are ready you should connect with a church. Finally this song, "You make me Brave" by Amanda Cook is a great listen when you have the time.
:) im saved and now more powerful than ever so i use it to help the bullied people i use to just run on my anger but now it is happiness and i always carry my Bible around even though I do get in fights every now and then with bullys its always going to be for the good of humanity and i have actually became friends with a few of them and we play video games together and the best part is they're actually just like me with abusive parents so all they pretty much ever known is to fight but now i got them saved :D i hope this helps other people across the globe like you guys have helped me
I was overprotective by mom mostly after being bullied in 5th grade, 6th grade, until I was 25....All throughout my life I wasn't allowed to have a full Father/Daughter relationship....I used to struggle with Does God love me bc bullies, my mom, and mostly family resented me and said me I'm not good enough....After 2 and 1/2 years, I have really felt God loves me by helping me prepare, work, and make my dreams come true and be happy :) My dad always cared and allowed me to be me and do whatever I wanted as long as it made me happy :) Although he's been gone 10 years and a few months from this Earth, He's always been with me 🕊

I cry every time I watch this video. No I am not a girl but I've been through so much of the same and similar things that these beautiful women have gone through. I have felt so much that I am unworthy and I have been so ashamed of who I have become at times. I have self harmed, I have so many unpure thoughts, and I have made so many mistakes. Sometimes I don't even know if God loves me anymore and sometimes I feel like he will never forgive me. I have made so many mistakes and I really hope God will forgive me. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! I constantly struggle with the negativeness of what i had to deal with but God overcomes it all. I am His beautiful daughter. I pray all see the light of Jesus. I pray that we all grow into what he wants for each and every one of us. While i wont go into great detail of what ive gone thru in my life, im no stranger to pain. But Jesus is my courage, he is my healer.
This song really is really is my head because from when I was little I have been adopted and when I was little I was hit and I was abused and more. Then I got older and went it school in my country witch is very poor and they told the teacher I broke a window and I had to pay 300$ by the next day and we didn't have that much money. Then I came to America and I was bullied from 4-6 grade every day. I never knew God yet. I ne'er have picked up the bible at all. So then I was getting a lone and with out friends. Then my friend told me about this bible study and I got better at getting to know God. Then I was baptized. The next day I lost my grandpa and I never wanted to hear God I was cutting my self and I didn't what to be around anyone. Then my bible study person came to my house and said that God has saved you from what you have been done. After that my leader told me about this thing that my church dose. I said I will check on it. Then my mom by mistake she put the money for it and I had to go. About 3 day at this thing k went I saw God telling me stuff and I was re baptized and I have been getting better with God. I have been baptizing other people and they want my testimony. Know God has told me to go on a mission trip and to tell about my experience with God. They only person who knows you more then your family is God and he knows your name. He doesn't care if you are 10 years old or 78 years old he still loves you. Thanks
we can't run away from our struggles coz they will at some point get back to us... It's only through God that we have the courage to face them and improve on the person we are now
