Francesco & Southern Cooking, founded in 1991 in Amsterdam at the initiative of Francesco Ljubica and Dutch singer Jan Nijhout. They performed on the boards of the Amsterdam club Paradiso, played as an opening act for blues scene legend John Mayall. In 1992, the band was joined by the current bassist Ante Anđelić from Trogir. They perform all over Europe, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Croatia. On the Dutch scene, they gained the status of the cult band Southern Rock, Blues style. From the performance it is worth mentioning American slide guitarist Sonny Landreth. Then opening the performance of the British singer with a powerful voice Chris Farlow (for a time he was a vocalist in the group Colloseum) in 1996 the band got a permanent drummer, young and talented Duje Dorić from Slatine on the island of Čiovo. His hard rock drummer style gave the band new energy and sound. In 1998, the band got another top guitarist. Nikša Sorić (Nifti) from Trogir, who lives in Italy, Bologna. Also a famous photographer of concerts, fashion, famous celebrities - active on the Italian music scene. Performances continue to be successfully arranged, as well as cooperation with a multitude of local and foreign musicians: Dado Topić, Zdenka Kovačićek, Branko Bogunović Pif, Tomislav Goluban, Jadran Dučić Čićo, (Black Coffee), Siniša Banović (Let 3), Goran Kandić (EKV), Mike Kanon, Jimmy Griego, Rory Cambell,. The band has seven recorded albums.
