Primo test del prototipo AR1 che andrà in produzione l'anno prossimo, misure 235/35/19-265/35/19, stock Cayman 987.
Le prestazioni sono molto buone, punto di forza la trazione e il buon grip laterale.
Punto debole l'efficienza in frenata, che pecca un po' rispetto alle Pirelli TrofeoR, anche se la differenza non è molta!
Dalla prova è emerso che le pressioni a caldo devono essere abbastanza basse, massimo 1.9, sopra i 2.0/2.1 le gomme perdono tantissimo grip, la frenata si allunga molto e l'auto inizia a scivolare...
Il best e le sessioni migliori, sono stati fatti con pressioni di 1.85 anteriore e 1.95 posteriore. In questo range, fino a un massimo di 2.0, si riescono a chiudere anche 3/4 giri con ottime prestazioni!
