@Misto_deVito6009 Good thing he has unhealthy forgiveness levels, Heinrich Himmler wore glasses, and, there's a trope named after people like him, Four Eyes, Zero Soul.
I mean, Brain literally had power-trip fantasies where he imagined himself as a supervillain pranking Muffy via satellite because he wrongly assumed that she won the science fair competition over him.
@@theremoteanaterSue Ellen's parents, obviously, need to put her in a private school, they can afford it, even if they're no longer diplomats, her slumming it with characters beneath her station is totally wrong.
Not gonna lie, I think Binky is literally his best friend. The only thing he ever does is occasionally intimidate people, but aside from one punch which he spent all day trying to hide and avoid, he's never really a jerk to him. In one episode, he helped Arthur find a missing library book and only got a little upset at him after Arthur laughed when he learned Binky himself read it. And now we have this episode where he refuses to punch Arthur like last time. Whether or not he's titled Arthur's best friend, I feel Binky is the most morally just person in the group.
I don't think Francine is one of the worst characters just because she was mean in some episodes. But I do think she went too hard on Arthur in this episode.
I like how a lot of the characters in this show are terrible though - some people, especially kids, are just shitholes and I liked how this show wasn't afraid to reflect that
I tried it once out of curiosity. I'm pretty sure I remember it not working like at all, especially gritting your teeth like they did. This whole episode is just bad.
I'm not gonna lie, I was surprised that Francine didn't go to the principal's office for hitting Arthur with a soccer ball when he finally stood up for her, like with D.W, she has plot armor, I swear.
The difference is that the steak in question is extra well done. I imagine that's the kind of steak you give to the dog(assuming that you're okay with giving your dog overcooked meat).
Francine’s the kind of girl I feel like an older guy would have to inform her 🎵Take it easy take it easy better slow down girl that’s no way to go does your mother know🎵
There was the episode where Matt reviews the mystery episode of who broke the plate. At the end he gives both parents unique FUs for the dumb things they did in the episode.
It was why I was laughing along with everyone else when Mr. Ratburn asked what they may have done right after they invented the wheel and Buster said "Build Francine's bicycle?"
Francine humiliates Arthur, scares him about the dentist, and knocks out his tooth! Yet he gives her his tooth and money?! How he could he? She bullied him and knocked his tooth for pete sake and the show should have explained why that’s wrong Sorry if I was exaggerating
I remember there being a episode where Francine bullies Arthur for being “afraid of the dark” but at the end of the episode the classroom lost power or something and she was scared and she never got punished
I have noticed that she never apologized to Arthur in that episode, nor did she ever actually apologize to Arthur for teasing him about his glasses or his baby teeth. (At least Muffy actually takes the initiative to reconcile with others when she realizes how wrong, ignorant, and/or insensitive she was being.)
I was late to lose my first tooth and I also got bullied for it. As a result, whenever I had a loose tooth, I’d yank it out like a barbarian. Sometimes, there would even still be a root attached. It was such a messy and painful ordeal that I once left school early to get it done. (The teacher let me because she misunderstood and thought I was getting my tooth pulled by a dentist and had an appointment to go to.) Unfortunately, this led to my new teeth growing in so badly (teeth swapped places, one big tooth in the middle, four-tooth overbite, etc.) that I got bullied for having crooked teeth instead. Someone even said I looked like a stereotypical Brit because of my teeth. (I’m not British.) Luckily, I finally started Invisalign last September, and now, my teeth look okay except for the misplaced canines and the two baby teeth that never fell out for some reason. Anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised if this episode of Arthur was based on someone’s real-life experience.
I know this would never be a real episode, but it would be really sweet that when the students are in say, sixth or seventh grade, all the girls get their periods except Francine, and they start taunting her about it. That would be sweet karma! FU, Francine!
You know your life is messed up when no one gets in trouble for hitting you! It's such a wonder why with all this crap Arthur suffers through isn't enough to turn him into the Joker
Yet also when they decide to make ARTHUR the bully for some stupid reason, ONLY THEN THEY FINALLY DO SOMETHING! I can't wait for him to review that episode. (So Funny I Forgot To Laugh)
@@TrentTheHedgieI get that the writers were trying to make the point that even stereotypically nice, non-bullyish people can occasionally make insensitive remarks, but I really wish they made Buster the villain of that particular episode. It would fit much better since he’s the jokester and class clown, so it would make sense if, one day, he makes a joke that just crossed the line too far. (Plus, I feel like Buster hardly ever is held responsible or suffers consequences for a lot of other stuff he was at fault for in many other episodes, often leaving Arthur to take the full blame or whatever.)
If you're planning to do more Rugrats episode, then you should try "Partners in Crime". That episode is where Angelica was at her absolute worst, because she goes on a crime spree and steals a bunch of sweets from other people, even a cake from an old man.
1:51 …. Wait a minute, Arthur asked Binky to hit him, and he could not do it… Binky was dared by his friends to hit someone (Arthur after he hit D.W.) and when divine order of plot forces Arthur by Binky’s side, he hits him…. 🤔😅🧐
Arthur, 1 person, merely asked him, but in the other episode, 3 people demanded that Binky punch Arthur. (Or maybe the tooth episode technically came after the punching episode such that Binky couldn’t go through with punching Arthur because he felt too much guilt over the last time he punched him.)
The book that the episode was based on had a weirder way on getting the tooth out. Francine said they will play a game that involved pulling teeth she was the tooth fairy and if she touches you you have to pull a tooth it was like tag only bad for your mouth anyway she accidentally bumped into Arthur and that’s what got his tooth out.
@@mattneff There's a part in it where they're playing Go Fish, and when Brain says "go fish," Francine yells "go fish yourself!" It's the same one where Francine and Brain are fighting, and Arthur and Buster write fake letters to convince them to make up. (The most memorable part for me is "you spelled soccer with two Ks and a Q?!" if you remember that bit.)
@@darkdragon7210 oh buttercup wants to knock out every tooth of every villain of townsville, so that she can get a lot of coins or dollars from the tooth fairy
I bet the reason Ratburn didn't reprimand Francine, because he's going deaf, as revealed in the season 20 episode, "Lend Me Your Ear." Even though it was a much later episode, the whole series takes place in the same timeline so you never know
2:06 Dr. Doofenshmirtz: And That, kids, is why you should ALWAYS include a Self-Destruct Button! 😁👍🏾 ... did Dr. Doofenshmirtz's 'Inators' ever do that, though? 🤔
At one point, I had forgotten that the scene with The Brain at 2:08 came from this episode. Even as I was reminded of how it appeared in a RU-vid Poop called "Arthur Gets Destructive", which lampoons how it was more frequent for the first eight seasons of Arthur (1996-2003) had many more clips of objects breaking or exploding when compared to the rest of the series.
So because of this episode , when I was younger. I put fingernails between my front teeth to get a gap in between in case a time I was to have to do the fountain. Long story short, I still have a gap between my front teeth .
2:00 when Francine is more a bully that the school bully Also, I love how despite being a kids education show, Arthur has some messed up horror fantasies
This is nostalgic... This was actually my first exposure to Arthur as a franchise, except it wasn't the episode, it was the picture book of this episode.
Did anyone else think it was weird that the lost baby teeth still had full roots? (And that they were molar-style roots on front teeth?) Maybe it's just me because I had a couple of incisors pulled with the full roots still attached when I was a little kid, but it always struck me as odd. (Also, I loved freaking people out by showing off those pulled teeth. It was a nice consolation prize after the traumatic experience.)
I remember having this episode on a VHS. I couldn't do all that stuff Francine could after losing my tooth. I remember the space in my mouth being too small or a little sensitive to do those things. Also, what is Francine's problem? Why does she bully Arthur over these petty little things? In the book, it was his nose, then his glasses, and now his tooth. Girl needs to freaking chill.
You should review Draw and the Vomit episode as both give Francine character development to be nicer as afterwards shes not intested in making fun of a bed wetter
You should review the episode "Water and the brain" both Muffy and francine are awful in it. Also the good sport Francine is anything but a good sport.
I don’t know who I hate more in this show. DW or Francine. Francine is such a jerk to Arthur all the time for no reason. DW is his four year old sister, so I’ll give her bratty behavior towards him somewhat of a pass, but Francine is a literal bully to everyone!
like yeah ik its a kids show but i often wondered how any of these kids stayed friends like at all. they are all so mean to each other sometimes its kinda comical how fast they forgive each other. But i also get that they kinds need fhese characters to remain friends/forget the previous lesson in the next episode to keep the show running. Cause eventually with a show running as long of arther they were gonna run out if "lessons"
Francine bullying Arthur for still having all his baby teeth is like the other holiday folkloric figures making fun of Santa under /for/of the assumption that he can't lose weight simply because that's how he's portrayed.
As someone who had to get teeth pulled at one point, I'd almost PREFER the Mr. Hyde-esque dentist with a rusty pliers. What they did was MUCH more horrific. Also, in the original book Binky is the one that offers to punch Arthur's tooth out.
@@Angrycat-pg5iv A worse drill than the one they use to fill cavities. Best way I can describe it. They have the thing burrow through your tooth until it gets a good enough grip to yank it out. And then you have to nurse a big gap in your gums for like most of a week.
Anyone else remember being in elementary school and nobody caring your teeth were falling out? And if anything the problem being, your baby tooth fell out and now you're drooling bloody spit
Come to think of it, Francine never even apologized once to Arthur, nor did she ever apologize for teasing him about his glasses nor did she apologize for making fun of him in the episode where they entered a bat cave on a field trip. Even in the “Draw!” episode, Francine never actually took the initiative to apologize to Fern. Sure, we as the audience hear Francine crying out her regrets, but that’s still not an actual apology. It was actually Fern running after Francine that made them presumably reconcile.
I hated when Francine made pulling teeth a big horrifying thing. It’s really not a big deal and you don’t even feel anything. - from someone who has had almost all my baby teeth pulled (i had a weird mouth)
I really don't understand the purpose of this episode. If you wanted to do the "feeling left out" theme, surely you could find something better than teeth of all things... No kid has ever seen losing teeth as a bragging right. 0:40, okay, how was this not a copyright violation?
