Francis Chan Sermon For 2023: It's Either Real or Fake

This is one of those Francis Chan sermons that the church needs to hear real bad. Going into 2023, this message will inspire and convict those of us who need to do what Paul mentioned in his prayer in Ephesians. Our faith and knowledge of the love of God, is it real or is it fake? Does it look like a "jail-house faith" or is it a genuine thing from within for you?
After listening to this great sermon by Francis Chan, do some reflecting and find out if what you and your family are doing and saying is real or not. Let's grow in Christ and make 2023 better than all of our previous years of "Christianity". Blessings!

I haven't listened to Francis Chan in awhile, but his messages are always FIRE! 🔥He has a way of putting everything that matters into perspective with a sense of urgency that causes you to re evaluate your whole life. I love it! It keeps me hungry for the things of God.

Jesus led me to this video. I was in a church 35 years. I was taught everything was satan. I lost myself and lost Hope and faith in Jesus in the process. But God is hearing my cry for help to restore True Real Faith in My God and Savior Jesus Christ. 😢❤

Thank you for uploading this msg brother , I have been praying this prayer from ephesians 3-14 an Ezekiel 36-26 for nearly 10 weeks now and along with that I'm clean off drugs for over 2 months now for the first time in 10 years!!! Francis is so right this prayer is so so powerful an people think drugs , drink , sex , gambling etc etc are the problems?? No it's the ❤ and once the Holy spirit strengthens your inner being and opens the eyes of your heart it does something that no programme or accountability partner can ever do an this is a truth not just the world is missing but more sadly the church , the only way we can truly desire new stuff an walk away from our vomit is through YESHUA everything else is just a temporary plaster that eventually falls off 😔 Glory Glory be to Father God ephesians 3-14 and Ezekiel 36-26 is a game changer 🙌❤🙏

Wow! This sermon ended up being exactly what I"ve been praying for for several weeks, and wasn't sure if it was the Spirit pointing me in that direction! I have kids and grandkids which have been through a really hard time. I've been praying for Father to reveal himself to them, and help me to back out of teaching them myself. Not that I plan to completely stop training them up in the way they should go, but It's God to let me know Himself when I was very young. It definitely isn't my family that taught me anything to do with God. Yet, he's always been there for me, and for me, it's been over 62 years. So, cause I realized that it was God that gave this knowledge to me, I'm praying that my kids and grandkids get it! It's working, too! God is so good! Anyway, this was a confirmation for me! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing, not only this message, but your story, as well. A friend of mine had been in prison. He was illiterate. He learned how to read..by reading the Bible ..and gave His life to the Lord. Our Pastor did Prison Ministry. When the young man got out of prison, he started coming to our church. That was many, many years ago already.

You’re absolutely right. The thing is though, no one can give you this kind of desire, or fire, or stirring of heart. There has to be a personal hunger and thirst for righteousness above everything else this world has. When we approach church service with that motivation, desire, and heart, then our gatherings will have this kinda substance, Chan speaks of. Just hearing what Chan said, which is beautiful, doesn’t change us. Somewhere we need the same burning in us, that Chan has. The Bible says, unfortunately few there be that will find it. We have to “love not the world”, “thirst and hunger after righteousness”…. “We shall be filled!” The world won’t have any sway over us. We’ll come to Jesus everyday in our k Wes with this fervency and fire, to Know God, by experience and not based on somebody else’s testimony.

I am so frustrated with “the church.” I recently stopped attending a building , a church building because it has turned me off so profoundly. I have been a follower of Christ for 20 years and seeing what’s going on in these buildings is very, very sad. My son recently said to me “I know more people that don’t go to church or say that they’re Christian’s that are more loving than a lot of the people that go to church.” This message from Francis Chan is so powerful, because it’s the truth! I think this is a good message with a wonderful focus on God’s majesty, but I missed the starting assumptions - namely the Gospel - God’s phenomenal forgiveness and our repentance from sin to be IN the body of Christ AND to be eligible for this “Ephesians life” in Christ.

Jesus said the Holy Spirit comes on the inside of those who love and obey him. “If you love me, keep my commands. · And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- · the Spirit of truth.” John 14:15-31. We are called to preach the gospel and live a repentant lifestyle. God has given all the freedom to chose to live in him after hearing the gospel. We are not to beg people to live right or as he say be deeply rooted in the Word. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” At the end of the day we all have to give an account to God for our individual decisions to live righteously or in unrighteousness.

One should really search themselves, think with actual logic and reason: why in the cosmos, if the Christian god actually is and is capable and is willing, to give out his “riches of love” why oh why would there be so many people who aren’t actually receiving it? And I mean these pejorative Christians that are spoken of throughout this video (not us dirty non-believers). Well meaning people who try to be a follower of Jesus but who can’t seem to actually hear him, see him, get him right. You should really think about this, but not too hard, because I think the reason is a lot simpler and a lot less hard to have to gaslight millions of people. So needless to say, put me down for fake.

Many people who call themselves 'Christians' are content in playing church once a week to get their ears tickled then go about conforming to the world and seek it's pleasures the rest of the time. They don't seek and love the Lord their God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. It's about a personal relationship with the living, loving God, our creator, not a man made religion and what they claim to believe or not believe.

Really confusing, when you get saved they say it’s simple, all you have to do is believe Jesus died for your sins,period. But soon they start calling you a Sunday Christian then, it leads to what you are saying. it’s never enough. I’m not impressed I’m only turned off. Using scripture to belittle the flock. A guilt trip is what I see. Mother Teresa was a great Christian. She got down and dirty not kneel on a stage with bright lights and cameras rolling.

Human beings have always wanted and tried to save themselves from their own sins and earn their own eternal salvation. It is part of our sinful nature to do so. But there is no amount of human good works that could ever satisfy the demands of perfect holiness before YHWH because we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But Jesus, The Christ, was SINLESS and He satisfied all the demands of perfect righteousness. So He shed His own blood and died for our sins in order to redeem us. Then He rose from the dead and victoriously offered that glorious gift of eternal life to anyone and everyone who believes in Him and His promise to give us this gift. Hallelujah, What a Savior!! AND NOW we are FREE in Christ - at LIBERTY to LOVE OTHERS!
