Araiza and Alagna covered the same repertoire. Araiza has the more even tone and far better technique. Alagna has the squillo and the passion. Both wonderful. Both moved to heavier repertoire as they matured. Understandable if not always the best for their voices. If you have not heard Alagna sing this, you should. I agree that JDF is peerless when it comes to Rossini etc but his voice is a little thin otherwise. I guess singers should accept that having a great voice does not mean you can sing everything well. I can well understand not wanting to sing Romeo and Rudolfo into one’s 40’s however.
A decent performance by Araiza whom I don't really like in heavier repertoire as he tries to stretch his vocal boundaries all too audible. But Alagna and squillo? What do you call for example Corelli's, Filippeschi's etc. voices then? Compared to Alagna that's the league of real squillo singers...... with respect to this aria I'd recommend listening to Nicolai Gedda.
What a beautiful lyric tenor voice! What a shame he later completely ruined his voice singing a totally wrong repertoire (Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, etc.)....
Dieter Florian Juan Diego Flores is an overrated; weak voice; low range; second class tenor. He should not be compared to any of the other great voices in opera.
Jose Troche JD Florez is surely Not overated, he is an excellent Belcanto Singer, Look at Rossini, Donizetti and the Bellini performances, he sung 2 years before Les Hugenottes with a wesk Voice like You say, but the Opera Berlin don't Found an other Singer with a virtuosly high Register to do this Role of the Roul and the press international has written that was amazing. Generell we can't compare His Voice with collegues than every Voice has an different sound and Pavarotti Himself was very exited When he meets him in Italy at the Beginn His Great career, the big Master 🎵🎵🎵
@@dieterflorian865 Domingo is the Mentor, they say he is the best... Belcanto... reality check, JDF is far from those claims. He cannot be compared to this Mexico tenor at all.
