Nice comments all! Since I’ve found out about Boclet’s Tobacco I jumped on it blind. So glad I did. You’re correct, it’s not BEAST mode or whatnot but it is a subtle scent that does indeed cause compliments. I’m usually a conservative sprayer but w/ Boclet’ Tobacco one can get away with some double sprays. I usually get 4-6 hours before it becomes a glorious skin scent.
Can't get enough of my Tobacco Vanille. This one should be right up my alley. Have you tried Geranium or Vanille? Vanille has that lime in the opening I remember. Really cool note breakdown. I was dead close to blind buying that one.
I got one of those TF small bottle samples of TV from LuckyScent a few years ago. Still have it and only sampled it once . That should tell you I had/have no interest in getting a bottle of it. I did like Phadon's take on TV, but never bought a bottle of it Sounds amazing Pep. Will search it out.
Dear Pep, My favourite tobacco is Parfums de marly Herod. You should try tabac rouge by phaedon. I have always wanted to try Tom fords tobacco oud/intense but always end up sampling something else. Cheers a lot
Nice review. All fragrances you mentioned at the beginning I've smelled and none of them is bottle buying worth. I think at the moment I'm having trouble loving or liking fragrances with I any kind of sweetness. I also can't understand the hype around PDM.
Hi Pep, it sounds like you've explored Parfums de Marly a bit. I'm curious about your thoughts on this house. It seems to have gotten a lot of positive reviews recently and I'm wondering if there's any truth to it. It seems like the current "it" house for some reason. I got a bottle of Chergui yesterday and just love it. My little collection includes bottles from Guerlain (Heritage), Caron, Dior (Eau Sauvage), Givenchy (Gentleman EPD), Hermes (Equipage Geranium), MFK (Petit Matin), Penhaligons (Sartorial), Creed (Royal Oud), Diptyque, Chanel (Egoiste), Bortnikoff, Mugler (Mugler Cologne), and Milano Cento to give you an idea of where I've gone.
Hi David, i have tried a few of them but certainly not a wide range from PdM. The ones i have tried are at best (for me), good designer quality (Herod), to generic synthetic crowd pleaser (Layton), to bad clone (Kalan). I believe they get talked about a lot because of aggressive marketing on social media. Big channels routinely get free product from PdM, so yeah, you aren't going to see many negative reviews.
@@TheScentinel Pep, thank you for both comments. Again, your channel too. I've found few channels that seem trustworthy to me and you seem to have a certain level of detachment from the hype that's helpful. Keep up the good work. Your most recent collaborations with the other tubers were great. I really love the perfumes that I have and I put a lot of time and effort into selecting them. Best, David
