@@pavy415...and it isn't easy to find someone who can fix a Rolex watch either! It's actually getting to the point where it's very difficult to find people who know how to work on mechanical timepieces at all-!

Maybe a joke, but that is a great idea. Model watch kits of various brands, sizes and complications, for training young inspiring horologist. I'd love to put together a 10x enlarged Caliber 321 and hang it on my wall as a clock. Maybe pull it down every so often to play with the pushers. It would be educational, it could be social, it will teach people the reason why these timepieces can go for such high prices, and best of all, it will bring new blood to a workforce, which in the computer age, has seen a substantial decline in craftsmen.

@@joncan2348 FM is using heavily modified and partially replaced ETA with platinum rotor only in a very low end. Which is not as bad as you make it sound. Where in a world you've seen ETA movement with perpetual calendar and tourbillon in rose gold?
