Hegel did a lot of homework. This presentation is quite popular. Given the features and sound, they’ve been extremely popular as of recent. True value in price/performance ratio. If you want a set and forget system, it’s worth a consideration. I have a H390 but evaluating Gryphon right now to scratch an itch. Thanks for the vid jay.
Wow! These mini monitors sound great. Less drivers, less crossover interference, and just a more coherent presentation. Great mids, plus the overall balance is spot on; and the overall quick and fast pace of this speaker is nice. It doesn’t have the wide open presentation as the Magico M6 speakers, but it has a more immediate and forward sound. I like it! Hey Jay, have you listened to Von Schweikert speakers? I think you’d like them a lot, especially with your Pass Amps, that is, if you still have them. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Should try Ktema, Franco Serblin is trully legendary speaker design......should be comparable with your M6 Magico....I' ve never heard good bass from Magico and the mid range is too accurate leading to un musical / sound weird to me at all....in just my opinion 🙏🙏🙏....I still don' t under stand why Magico / Alan Wolf keep using XOver design with 24db/ octave......if it can not be achieve by the most 12db/ octave.....as a big manufacturing why don't they just change the driver !!!....and with the metal sealed box ... for me it really power hungry and it doesn' t make sense to me at all......Most of Magico user still adding subwoofer to get reasonable bass.....it sound weird to me.....
Great video, maybe it’s just me but at Suncoast the vids seem less blurred and greater depth, always enjoy Franco, S speakers :the Ktema is a fascinating speaker
I heard them with a full Esoteric setup at a show, it was one of the best rooms in the show for sure. Towards the end of the show the exhibitor had Pink Floyd's The Wall playing through the system... never heard it sound better in my life.
@@silviosarunic3234 o.k., thanks. He was the founder of SF. But he died in 2013...so is this a homage for him built by SF? BTW: never been a fan of Sonus Faber soundwise...although they mostly look nice and cosy.
I still don't see (or hear) the value of RU-vid audio demos, but Hegel continues to impress the RU-vid reviewers. They are gaining positive brand recognition in the integrated amp space.
@@Andrew_from_Oz_Vinyl_Landscape Accurately replicating the sound of someone's HiFi system over the internet, through miles of cable, through RU-vid compression is mathematically impossible.
Byron, that is correct you cannot hear the actual quality of the sound but it is useful on youtube when you can hear A/B comparisons of different components or speakers in the same room with same mic. At that point you still cannot tell the level of quality A/B or which is higher quality but you can hear differences being projected ie cooler, warmer, analytical bass impact etc
