Congrats on the new tumbler. Couple tips: 1) Add some media while tumbling, frankford sells a 2lb pack of SS pins for pretty cheap. These will help to clean the insides of cases and primer pockets. Get the media separator and strainer insert while you are at it. I got the magnet but rarely use it 2) Be careful with how much lemishine you use, too much will tarnish your brass. I use one 9mm case 3/4 full plus dawn...or even better a couple caps full of ArmorAll wash and wax as a substitute for dawn 3) Use a piece of tubing wedged into the inner lip to help keep the cases tumbling while running. I had some nonmetal flexible conduit laying around that worked perfect. Have fun!
I just cut 6 pieces of plastic coat hangers (1/4" round) to lay in each crease of the jug. Will be hot gluing them in place right after I scratch the inside up real good. Then I will try adding layers of plasti-dip or some type of rubber coating for porches/decks. This should make the cases tumble quietly.
I am so glad I have the older design, its bigger and I really would like a smaller one for small batches but the difference in quality from the original one to this one is obvious. The larger one is rubber lined and that helps with keeping the brass moving and with the noise. Hopefully someone figured out how to coat the inside with rubber like the original. I started with the small and now have both. Its nice when you have more the large can hold so you take the overflow to the small. They are awesome. Happy learning. There is an endless amount of info to know and use. And don't be cheap with the dawn. Max a 45-shell case full of lemishine. I personnel do a pre-rinse with Dawan. Then dry. The lube process then dump into hot soapy water to melt off the lube. Then into the tumbler with lemi and dawn. Make sure you get a pin separator tumbler.
That is what the SS pins are for duh to turn the brass and flip it around, You could always add some rubber sheeting inside like the pro model. I promise those pins will roll the brass around as it tumbles and aid in cleaning.
Like the video I have one of these it works great for small batches… I use 5 pounds of pins a 9mm case of lemishine, dawn or armor roll washing wax.. My only complaint is the inside is not rubber lined which would make the brass and pins tumble more, so a fix I found is I measured out 400 cases of 9mm seems to work. But I’m still experimenting also.. good luck in your quest…
FA 32 FL OZ Brass Cleaner and their 2LB 5.5 SS Pins will make a UGE difference. I just ran mine for the first time too. Amazing compared to the messy dry media. DO IT
@@3dtexan890 just got mine today and it wouldnt tumble anything ......i tried to add more brass / take brass out and it still didnt turn, ive read about this and the agitator issue but i got mine working with a full load by using some covid / alcohol hand cleaner on the drive wheels.....turn machine on then with some alcohol gel on my finger i rubbed it on the wheels and then removed it wih a clean cloth. now just need to make a H shaped agitator to improve tumbling
