Last week Patriots head coach Bill Belichick showed the media that he's ready to move on to Cincinnati. Countdown's Frank Caliendo shows us just how focused the coach can be on his next opponent: no matter what may be going on around him.
James Reese That's the wonderful thing about internet comments. I can give my opinion and others can agree or disagree. Frank is very talented but often times he drags the joke on. As I said, those first 30 second are fantastic. The part when he said "fires happen, that's why you have insurance," that was gold. Perfect delivery and felt like something Belichick would say to the press.
Exactly what I was going to say here in the comment section. Took a great gag and ran with it too long. Gotta know when to go out. Still liked it though overall.
People talk about what a football genius Bill Belichick is, for the most part they are right. He's definitely one of the all time greats for X's and O's. But, where he truly shines is dealing with the Media. I have been a Boston sports fan for a long, long, long time now (Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins). And trust me if they (Media sports reporters) think they can sell a story by tearing apart the locker room they will, even, or especially if it can cause a team to tank. Some of them do it for sport. Belichick gives them absolutely nothing to report, except for "Were on to Cinncinatti." He won't let them get their dirty little fingers into his locker room and undermine his message to the team. That's pure genius, no other NFL football coach is smart enough to think that far ahead.
