RIP Mr Peel. Love this. I bought the album, family thought I had lost the plot. Probably did.

Bloody loved The Frank Chickens - 1984 I was coming up 18, my birthday was in December so it was Band Aid everywhere you turned. I was a John Peel avid listener, he taught me about indie music & when I heard FC's the first time it was instant love. Got them playing now in the background - oh to be 17 again. But this time to do it being aware it was the best age ever to be. Plus my first birthday I could buy a drink legally and get pissed at Christmas. Hi to all those who come by this page. The 80's good music, clothes from 2nd hand shops, mad hair & The Cocteau Twins, The Smith's, Everything But The Girl, Carmel, & Sade. Joy.

Quick Chickenhistory: Championed by John Peel (RIP) early in their career, two minor hits in 1984 (We Are Ninja & Blue Canary) then criminally overlooked for next 20 years or so... The Frank Chickens / Kazuko Hohki still performing & fantastic!! Have added sites for more info. X.
