Siegfried is an underrated song of Blonde, the reference to singer songwriter legend Elliott Smith, the thick sad atmosphere, Rostram’s guitar and the lyrics are just a pure and unfiltered bipolar downer.

literally, as much as I’ve listened to this album (my favorite album oat), there is not a song to me that hits more than Seigfried. It’s truly a gracefully beautiful song, more so criminally underrated.

i disagree lmao. everyone has their flaws and that's a fact. just because it's "one of the tightest albums" doesn't mean it's completely perfect. "worst song" doesn't always mean that the whole album is bad, or that the song itself is bad. it just means it doesn't hit the same as the other ones.

I’m not much of a music junkie, but ironically Close To You was my favourite song off the album. I love the original track + Stevie’s version. I thought Frank’s version captured the emptiness and confusion w/ missing someone who’s not ‘close to you’ anymore really well. Well enough to get me through my break up 😂 The Brad Pitt + Coachella performance has also solidified itself as a goated moment. Can’t help but love me some classics songs remixed by Frank Ocean

Agreed. The intro is like a remake of the Beatles song yesterday with all the chaos and discomfort. But once the smoke settles the song is super soothing even ending with that choir of kids at the end. “Sweet like the suckaaaa” “pretty swee-eee-eeeet”
For me Solo (reprise) and Skyline to are the most underrated tracks on the album. Andre goes absolutely mad and the context of him originally going on completely different beat just to hear the album version with James Blakes piano the first time he listened to it just adds to it. And skyline to is truly one of the most relaxing, soothing pieces of music in history
But Close to You features a sample from Close to You/Never Can Say Goodbye by Stevie Wonder (one of the most talented musicians to ever live) :( . But to each there own. I’ve heard people say the worst song is Pretty Sweet, or Solo(reprise), or even Skyline To. Personally I don’t think there is a bad track on this album. I’ve listened to this album ever since I was 16 years old and had a different play through each year. I can’t lie and say that every song sounds “commercial” because you can’t compare Nights or Self Control to Pretty Sweet or Facebook Story. It’s an album that you learn to appreciate with every track having its own unique visuals and storyline. Not even kidding I have a friend that whole heartily believes Ivy is the best track and other that believes it’s Nights and they go at it all the time. No disrespect tho cause you are just sharing your opinion. Also, my favorite track is too Self Control because it’s the only song on the album that made me ball my eyes out.

Every time i listen to Close to You, i just imagine the album cover. Jumping in the shower, thr water starts hitting you, you take a moment to reflect, end up reminiscing on stuff.
Close to you is not the worst. That shit will put me in tears every time. The sample, his lyrics, the way the beat makes his voice sound nervous and vulnerable. Masterpiece

bro skyline to is so good...especially the middle part where the guitar and the synths come together...it reminds me of summer.. its almost like self control
