If only "Schlatt" could see this, he'd be so impressed with how far AI has come 😔. Fly high big guy 🕊. Huge shoutout to Frank Sinatra for letting me use the instrumental, I hope you're doing well bro. It's been a while since we've seen each other, we should catch up. Also, Seth Macfarlanes version has a slightly faster tempo, so it outpaces Schlinatras and doesn't sound good. if this video gets 100k likes I'll record my own cover for the 27 of you that actually give a sh*t.
since i heard this version, i can’t listen to either Sinatra or Schlart’s version alone, because their two voices genuinely sound great together. It’s too bad Schloth “disbanded” Frank’s family from their homes in ‘99. Fly high Schlint 🕊️
@@vigil8400 Yeah. Hey, did you ever get an update on that? They found the first guy, the second one is still missing 3 limbs, they found the 3rd guys head, but have they found the others? Also have they identified any of the first ones? Apparently they where mutilated past recognition
While I'm not usually the biggest fan of AI recreation, Sinatra's voice sounds really good on this. Almost sounds like he was always meant to sing it, but the classic schlatt will always sound amazing. Fly high big guy
Sinatra recently actually covered it, that's what this is, Sinatra was tired of people saying he couldn't do it, and it was just the ai, so Sinatra decided to faithfully recreate it
Needs more attention I want people to make a whole 100 people choir out of this song. And make it the most beautiful thing ever heard Edit: I ain’t gonna praise about likes but dang, best comment I ever made.
He said he re-sang multiple parts over and over until he was satisfied with them. You can really tell how much effort was put into this with how well it matches up and sounds so dang good.
@@lyanreehan They probably added more shadows when they edited the picture. Just put your phone up to a mirror, you'll see it's actually exactly the same shape, just reversed. Could probably put it into Photoshop and overlay the two too, they'd match perfectly
at 3:50 . the way that schlatt's vibrato matched franks to perform a perfect synchronization. not just the tone, the pitch, the FREQUENCIES. that, that is incredible.
@@coldravioli7839not in every genre. Back when Sinatra recorded the original, the technology was so limited that recording each line separately would be harder than just doing multiple takes of the whole song and choosing the best. At some point producers started using a technique where they spliced together several takes sometimes word for word, but that came after DAWs became a thing. Even then, a crooner like Frank wouldn’t do multi take. Hell, that might even be first take.
@@NotDingse I wasn't disparaging Sinatra. I'm saying that Schlatt's version shouldn't be diminished just because he took lots of takes. That's just how production works, especially modern production. It's an unfair standard to say "Well he tried lots of times to get the perfect take so it's not THAT good" when that's what most recorded songs are. Also I think there's a lot of Sinatra romanticism, but that's besides the point.
This feels like it's sung by two lifelong friends who, after a year of mishaps and bad luck in their own lives, get together for a few drinks just as the countdown to New Year's is about to begin. As each is regaling the other with all the problems in their life, the other points out how they're still going despite it all. By the end, they're dancing atop the bar, shoulder to shoulder and belting their hearts out. They reaffirm to one another, and themselves, that no matter what happens, they can be proud because they stuck to their guns and did it their way.
December 31st, 1999 Somewhere outside downtown New York Schlatt is walking the streets late at night when he passes a bar and sees a face he had not seen in a long time. When he walks in, he says a phrase that had not left his mouth in far too long. "OL' BLUE EYES!" The man at the bar turns around and is shocked by who he sees. "Schlatt!?" "How ya doin', Frank?" "Great, now that I have someone to talk to! God, how long has it been since we last saw each other?" Schlatt thought for a minute then responded, "Ehh, 'bout a year. Time’s a bitch, ain't it?" Frank chuckles knowingly, "Too true, old friend. So what have you been doing since we last saw each other?" "I've been working at a small comedy club." "No shit, really? I mean, I've always thought you were hilarious. How’s it treating you?" "It's great, actually. I call it 'The Weekly Slap'. I tell jokes for about a half hour or so, then I take questions from the audience and give them advice about life problems. Barely anyone comes to the show, but it's worth it, even if I improve just one life. How 'bout you Frank? What’re you doing these days?" Frank's face drops as he sighs. "I've still been performing, but it’s just not the same as it used to be." "How so? Surely the one and only Frank Sinatra can still sell out the Garden, right?" "No, sadly not. I've been reduced to performing at senior centers and small clubs. Barely anyone listens to the classics anymore. It's no longer about Sinatra and 'My Way', it's NSYNC and "that way." Schlatt thinks for a moment. "You know Frank, I've been thinking. We’ve both been down on our luck for a while, right?" "And?" "And I made something as a gift for both of us to enjoy." What Schlatt slid over made Frank's heart skip a beat. There in front of him, was a Nothing but the Best album. But instead of Frank's young face, Schlatt had taped his own face on top. "What's this?" Schlatt took the album, walked over to the jukebox, and put in the disc. Legend says that the song climaxed precisely at midnight, and that Frank burst into tears. If you ask the man himself, he'll say he made it to combat all the AI covers. He had this sitting in a box somewhere and had an idea. The rest, as they say, is history.
My grandpa religiously listened to Sinatra until his end in 2013. If I could show him that some RU-vidr did this like Frank, I think he would’ve lost his crap. Thanks Schlatt
When I heard the Schlatt cover on twitter, I thought it was just My Way with Schlatt on the cover and I was like "Oh haha very funny." Then after seeing a few more quote tweets on it, I was suspicious so I went to RU-vid and looked for the cover and I was shocked that it was actually Schlatt singing and how close he sounds to Frank Sinatra. One of the best covers I've heard, and manages to sound better than Dream lol.
The fact that they match up so well together is a testament to just how good Sinatra’s cover really is. If only Schlatt were here to listen to his song being covered by someone like Sinatra. He was an unbelievable talent taken was before his time. Fly High “Big Guy” 🕊️🕊️🕊️
This is such a caring tribute to both of these great men. This almost feels as if Schlankk never developed Alzheimer's and was able to continue his unshakable singing career. Fly high Schlunkk. 🕊🕊
Dude literally just played the original song and Schlatt's cover at the same time. Literally anyone with a computer could do this. If you wanna tell someone "Great job", go to JSchlatt's video and say it, because he deserves it for his killer cover.
This symphonic rendition of dual voices haphazardly colliding in purpose of generating a product that presents a work of awe and incredible rhetorical yet passionate piece of nonpareil craftsmanship is a phenomenon i dearly wish to encounter for the first time once again.
Such an amazing pair of musical performers. It’s such a shame the had that falling out and the proceeded to beat each other to death with crowbars in 1999. Fly high fellas 🕊️🕊️
Imagine how cool it would be to find out someone took a cover of a song you did and actually play it at the same as the original. I'm sure Sinatra would be honored to know that his cover was paired up with a legendary vocalist such as the late and certainly great Schlatt. If only either of them were with us today.
And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this, I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows And did it my way Yes, it was my way
Schlagg would be proud if he knew Sinatra did a cover of his song! Rest his soul! I’m just honored to have this classic played at my wedding night! Holding back the tears 😭
It's funny to see a popular streamer like Frank Sinatra cover late Schlatt's hit song My Way after countless people make AI voices of him singing it, I wish Schlatt was alive to hear this, he'd be so proud of Sinatra.
this... this is the most beustiful work of art we have gotten in all of 2023. I love all of it. no flaws. its perfect. tears of joy 10/10. theres truly no words to describe how beautiful it is, but its got me, a grown ass man that rarly cries, bawling.
