Not fair - Larry King was a very talented interviewer -- even Frank Sinatra thought he was great, and Sinatra was famous for hating the press.

I think the term 'heaven' is somewhat misleading if you don't mind me saying so, Shirley? It implies that everyone who passes from the physical realm after their earthly demise goes to the same dimension level, which is, of course, not the case at all.

I used to really like Shirley M. That’s until I read her daughter’s book. Shirley had no right to be given a special & wonderful gift of a child. Now I can’t stand to see her face. I used to think that she was such a great actress. I don’t think that anymore. I think she likes living in her own little world and play “pretend” (not in an acting way). I also believe that she’s not playing with a full deck.

I agree! If she were truly spiritual, then she would see the need for gratitude for having had a family and need for humility in serving other as opposed to taking inventory of her awards on the fireplace mantelpiece

I don't think she's a bad person but it's easy to misunderstand her. People need to realise that not all women are maternal so motherhood never came naturally to her. She had her daughter in an era when abortion was very frowned upon and it was expected of women to marry and have children regardless of your own dreams. I do feel very sorry for the daughter as she didn't deserve an uncaring mother but we have to hope they've had some type of relationships as adults.
