No fooling, I've seen virtually every video, no matter how obscure, have at least 1 thumbs down. I mean, we're talking stuff so obscure and niche that you'd have to be the most no life hardcore freak of the subject to even know about it, has a thumbs down! Maybe YT requires at least 1 per video. Ha!
@@brandonhendrix7223 it’s kind of funny to picture it all being this one guy who just hates Zappa and spends all day giving a dislike to all his videos, especially now that the dislikes are gone so it was all for nothing
@@byHexted - Or perhaps, a jilted YES member or perhaps those who were fired from Zappa's band (Vinnie Cauliutta was one, so was Lowell George (for drug use)). Jimmy Carl Black talked bad of him (said he was underpaid), Napo Murphy Brock was canned on the 1984 tour (I don't know why). Hey, who knows, right?
A fine example from the album is Who Needs the Peace Corps?, a song that mocks hippies and people who follow the hippie fashion for the style of it. The ‘Peace Corps’ referred here is not the government organization, but rather the hippie movement.

Big mistake trying to ask Beefheart a simple question. There were some very good questions posed to Zappa and some fairly inane questions. Zappa opined that the best seat in a large hall to listen to the band is behind the soundboard. I don’t disagree, but as he noted it really comes down to who is running the board. I saw Zappa in 1984 at the Tower Theatre outside of Philadelphia. Steve Vai was in the band. I sat not all that far away from the soundboard and I thought the sound was terrible. It had a harsh upper midrange and was loud as hell.
