Fun Fact: According to Ishiro Honda, the alternate ending to Frankenstein Conquers the World featuring the Giant Octopus was included at the behest of the film's American backers, who were impressed by the Giant Octopus scenes from King Kong vs. Godzilla and wanted the creature to appear in the film.

Frankenstein was really tired after that ferocious battle with baragon also it seemed bigger than him and overpowered him unlike when gaira encountered it the only difficulty gaira had was the spray or venom the octopus omitted which seemed to only anger him more and tossed him to the sea retreating . It also appeared in King Kong vs. Godzilla

In Universal 1931 Frankenstein is in the United Kingdom with Godzilla vs. Megalon with Toho films maguma is in stock footage but it’s Anguirus,Rodan,Mothra,Gamera,King Caesar,Baragon,Gorosaurus, & more Gyaos, Sanda & Gaira, Kong vs. Megalon, Gigan, Ebirah, King Ghidorah, Gezora Mechagodzilla & Mechani-Kong Monster X.

This is the ending I grew up with, the way Frankenstein slowly drown while the human characters said it's probably best this way

Was it the Japanese ending? In the US it was the earthquake ending.

@@tangroro From what I read the American producer wanted the octopus ending and paid for Toho to shoot it, but they didn't like how it came out so it wasn't used in the US. Toho also didn't like it and didn't use it for the theatrical run, but it was reinstated to the TV versions shown in Japan and Europe. Of course now you can get either version, I have a US DVD release with both.

Octopuses are smart, even though they live for a short while. They're also very curious about us, and sometimes groups of sea divers get carried away playing too much with them, which could also wear them out (particularly the little octopuses). I don't get some cultures' cruelty towards them - killing and eating them, sometimes alive. I mean, yeah, we have to survive by hunting sometimes, but why not just stick with fish and shrimp?

I wonder if this is the canon ending, Given somehow Frankenstein's cells got to the ocean and formed Gaira Cause nowhere else does Frankenstein go into a body of water
