"The Nightmare Before Christmas" was directed by Henry Selick, not Tim Burton. Tim Burton wrote the script, and contributed to the visual design.

yeah,if I had to rnk some animations styles from easiest to hardest, I'd say flipbook>>Cel>Digital>>Acetate>>>>Cut Paper>>>>>>>>Stop motion. might be a bit wrong,but I'm not that far off I beleve.

jassica albert Some companies do replacement animation, which is where the lower half of the face is replaced with a different bottom half.

In Stop-Motion you can achive a level of detail not possible with CGI, also, you're saying that you hate the direction movies are heading, while stop-motion has been around since 1909, so i don't see what you mean with 'where it's heading'.

I don't think that's correct. He says 24 frames per second. That means for a singular thousand images, not even thousands, you 41 seconds, not just a few.

Stop Motion must be such a pain, its must literally be thousands of images for only a few seconds of animation. Honestly I don't know where they get the patience to do this!
