Frankfort, KY Tornado Siren Ambience - Attack/Alert - 7/1/2024 

Mike and I went to Frankfort hoping to get a distant shot of the downtown 'bolt from the cemetery. It did not activate, despite videos taken during tornado warnings over the last 3 years suggesting it still works. Go figure. The ambience was still pretty amazing with a mix of 508s (one of which sounds absolutely terrible), a 2001, and the Thunderbolts at Juniper Hill Park and Thorn Hill Education Center. The 508 in the video is located ~1.15 miles due south, near the KY Vietnam Vets Memorial. I also set a camera near the Thunderbolt on top of Early Learning Village just to confirm that it is, indeed, inactive. For some reason, the system was set off for 2 cycles of attack before switching to alert.
