From the 1997 album entitled, "My Heart Belongs to You". This is another under-the-radar R&B Classic. One of the smoothest cuts to come out in '97. Enjoy!!!
Yeah right. And Tupac is my cousin, he doing also great, and he is alive by the way. But anyway, if that turns to be true, say hello from me the Turkish/Kurdish guy from Denmark. He is truly one of my favourite singer along with Horace Brown. And Frankie is totally underrated, this is for damn sure.
I was 18 the first time I heard this song and I told myself one day i'm gonna make love to this song. So fast forward to 2001 i'm 21 and in love with this one girl and I couldn't put into words how i felt about her. Then I heard this song again and i had to let her hear it. So when I finally got the chance to play it for her, she was speechless. She pressed repeat and we wound up makin love to this song. Now we married with two kids........lol THANK YOU FRANKIE lol
Aww that is amazing.. I had similar feelings for this song during the same years.. (we are obviously the same age) my sons father were so in love with this song.. but we didn't last.. now we are good friends and have definitely marked this song as ours and in the history books of music we fell in love with together.. his wife doesn't know this.. but shes a great woman all the same..
+Vielda Robinson Wow what a story...this song was a banger from the first time i heard it on the radio, it was kind of a sleeper, one that was like a secret handshake between people who got it
I love this song even today, i still play it and think back to my younger day's i would play it over and over, this song is a classic, still get a tingly feeling when hear it
"When the rain starts to fall, And the sky becomes grey, Just give me a call And I'll bring the sunshine back your way" Bruv that's deep!!!!!! #AMAZINGLYRICS Still hot in 2019
I was born in 92. I was about 16 when I first heard this and even then I knew how good it was. From that sample to the vocals and lyrics. 10 years later it still bangs
I first heard this on BET Video Soul one time. I was 14 or 15 that was in the 90's. Was on the phone with a friend and she played this song I bout lost it. That was 2008!!!!! So ever since then it has aways been in my rotation!!! This song gives me butterflies in my stomach when I hear it. It just hits my soul sooo different!!!! My God!!!
This song should have had more likes. It's just simply amazing. Where is frankie at the moment, imagine what he would be doing if he was still on the scene.
I swear I was looking for this joint forever.. The whole time thinking it was Christion from roca a fella. It was "the look of love" sample that probably put me in that direction cuz of "can I live" lol
Monique Lassiter His producer, Chucky Thompson got into some trouble with label execs...something was funny with the money, if I recall correctly...he basically got put on an industry shit list and hasn't done much since..unfortunately, his artist ended paying the price as well...plus, I don't think this moved many units anyway...
Oh wow. Always those label execs. My husband had the cd in 1998 .I cant speak for the whole album but I know I was in love with this song. I really wanted to see him do more music. This was hot. Thanks for the info.
Sad to say, last I found about him(Frankie) he was wanted by some Delaware law enforcement in 2015 --- > www.delmarvalife.com/delmarvalife/delmarvas-most-wanted/delmarvas-most-wanted-monday-august-31-2015/#
I found out about the song years after it came out. But when I did...man that was my favorite song!! I even went and bought the CD. I still listen to it.
A classic 90s Hip Hop Soul record, that's get played to this day. It's a damn shame the record label unprompted this underrated classic album with such a monster single like this was all over the country.
Heard this song on the radio 103.5 okc an I was like damn I was jamming lol... man 2020 still slow jammin. I bet this song would sound good slowed down on that Texas swangin also
I still got this album and I pump it from time to time too. It never gets old. He's got a song with 112, Faith that is off the chain. One of those albums that you can just let ride without skipping a track. I wish I knew what happened to Homie.
I remember tracking this down a couple years ago, after hearing it on the radio. To say the least, I was born in '92 & I still plan on making a baby, with my future hubby, to this one. Classic & timeless.
THIS CD IS I HAVE TO SAY THE BEST CD THAT YOU CAN PKLAY WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SKIPPING. JUST POP IT IN., LIGHT SOME CANDLES, AND STARE INTO HER EYES.........SHE WILL WITNESS AND EXPERIENCE :)
