No when the commercial came out it was intended to be a parody of the novelty Big Mouth Billy Bass however it gained so much popularity that the company Gemmy teamed up with McDonald's to create a novelty item based off the commercial

I swear I used to have one smilliar to it but like kinda small I hanged it in my wall and it kept falling and the Button is so thicc so it broke and kept turning on when it fell the batteries leaked through the leather and we threw it (it smelled like melted choco with plastic)
