If you want that ball to be super fast, use a table tennis ball that you rub into graphite powder from a pencil lead. The hard surface will remain and it will bounce back way better

"Franklin's Bells" threw me off at first, thought you were naming some guy named "Franklin Bell" at first but I then realized you meant Benjamin Franklin. xD

People think he discovered electricity by flying a kite during a thunderstorm, which would have been fatal.

0:57 "maybe less if you live in a dry place)? If you live in a humid place you'd use lower voltages, for water vapor in the ambient air will lower the breakdown-voltage of the air and eventually cause arcing!

No. It is more complicated than that.

This proves conclusively that sustained motorization by electric force was invented by Franklin, and his contemporaries, long before Faraday invented his electromagnetic motor.

Not really. There was no such thing as a high voltage supply as shown in Franklin’s time. They did not yet have the concept of coiling a wire: they did not yet realize that a coiled wire would create a magnetic field and the did not realize how to convert low voltage to high voltage using coils. A Franklin Bell is actually a bit different than this video portrays. In one of Franklin’s letters, Franklin laments how he and no one else can figure out any good use for electricity. Don’t get me wrong, Franklin was the world leader in electricity in his day. Oersted’s breakthrough gave Faraday the hint he needed, yet it still too several years of grueling labor for Faraday to achieve an experimental success. Faraday’s incredible achievement can not be diminished. Unfortunately, Franklin’s greatest achievement has been lost to today’s society through mal-education. Franklin invented the concept of uncensored, neutral carrier communication. He broke the courier monopolies who would read your mail, refuse to deliver your publications, and do whatever they wanted if they did not like you or wanted to make you pay more to get your messages safely somewhere. In essence, the government and private carriers controlled all commerce and controlled all written thought between people. Franklin, if he were alive today, would have our social media companies imprisoned for the things they are currently doing to our people. That was why he was considered one of our founding fathers -- and “postmaster general” was a breakthrough concept in that day, not some trivial post in a new government. All of that has been lost, and teachers do not even know what they are missing in educating our children.
