I was wondering there was nothing in the BUDGET regarding Environmental conservation(Although i still haven't read entire BUDGET Annexure), i was utterly disappointed But Man O Man , she said she will take up WATER crisis (which is most important) personally and will work on it , and she said this will be her most dearly work in this BUDGET.... If she does this efficiently, we as a people of INDIA will be most thankful to her and MODI govt, hope this goes well

Very Good presentation by FM. She highlighted the core approach that more and more Indians must be employer with their upgraded skills and by re-skilling rather than employee to become real rich Indians. But China has cleverly adopted a hidden path to be more rich. Guess what is that!! Mass begging in Foreign Countries on tourist visas- sitting at bust street corners after dusk with a begging bowl- when no body checks them and people normally more humane in these Developed Countries - donate good amount till mid night hours or even later. Most beggars are aged person male & female - whole body covered in winter days / nights. After some group of genuine street beggars in the city noticed them over a time in the CBDs of the major cities, people started taking photos & videos of newly arrived Chinese beggars, revealed that they collect 400-500 Dollars each night. The numbers are not less- range from 45-75 in a large city. Then after tracking them to money changers- it was found they sent large amount of Chinese currency.

Just amazing response... The journalist has good questions however she could have been more prepared... And the respected ministers has very precise responses... Good to see good response in the comment section... Lastly the journalist started the interview with prejudices but respected minister was not affected with the obvious prejudices look from the journalist. If she had come with no prejudices this interview would have been more informative for the audience...

But still we are far away from competing china unless we bring fundamental reforms in education healthcare , decentralization. rule of law and justice...Sad that we are much more on centralized govt as this year distribution budget to states decreased 3% compared to previous year..The more decentralization more freedom to take decisions the more democracy more competition more development....

Congratulations to FM for her first budget.Disinvestment is good.,but BSNL should be saved, with good infrastructure developed,BSNL cards can be given like jio did and can expand to get profits.., instead some bjp ruled state govts distributed jio cards instead of BSNL,it surprised me.As Aam admi ,I want to see the waterproblem should be solved by us for AG, industry and for drinking purpose,if not it will be difficult in the era of rapid climate change. In Bangalore or Mumbai or Delhi is it possible to get a decent home for 48 lakhs? NO... It will cost more than 70 lakhs...So middle class will not benefit from this... now comes electric car.. a car gives minimum 400km range will cost more than 30 lakhs... Most of us need minimum 400 km range to drive back to our village during vacation..is it possible for a middle class person to afford around 70 to 80 lakhs house and 30 lakhs car together to just to avail tax benefits? If he buy these two things...what is left in his salary? Mrs Sitaraman ..we didn't expect this from you... but I appreciate the other things in the budget.. which will lead to a prosperous nation

This budget failed all time. The Bad * Shareholding norm tweak for listed cos Sitharaman said the govt would consider raising minimum public shareholding in the listed firms to 35% from 25% at present. Analysts say many MNCs listed on Indian bourses may consider delisting, if increase public shareholding is implemented. In case of many midcap and smallcap stocks it was better to have more promoter skin in the game since India's capital market is in a developing phase, said Amar Ambani of YES Securities. * Corporate tax Under a phased reduction plan for corporate taxes, the budget proposed to bring under 25% tax ambit companies with an annual turnover of up to Rs 400 crore, in place of the earlier cap of Rs 250 crore. The move came under criticism from experts who said the tax rejig should have been applicable to all companies and not just a select section. It is a bad sign that something that the government had promised for five years has not come about even in the sixth year. * Jobs At the season of serious job woes for the country, Sitharaman's budget disappointed one and all as no move was announced to ease one of India's biggest pain points. The Ugly * Tax dampener Standard deduction and TDS threshold didn't find a mention in Sitharaman's budget. It came as dampener for the salaried taxpayer because Piyush Goyal had promised to hike these limits in his February interim budget. * LTCG remains a pain in the neck If there was one factor that riled investors no end, it was Jaitley's LTCG tax on equities. There were hopes in some quarters that Sitharaman's budget could do something to address the issue. Well, it didn't. * Fuel bill In a blow to owners of cars and bikes, Sitharaman proposed to increase Special Additional Excise duty and Road and Infrastructure Cess each by one rupee a litre on petrol and diesel.

What a horrible patronizing attitude. Everybody is entitled to self respect, some journalists however seem to think they are god given gifts to their interviewees and audience. The finance minister of the largest democracy and the second most populous country definitely does not deserve this attitude. It shows her magnanimity that she ignored it and answered her questions seriously

This anchor re-affirms her total incapability to interview such a person as the new Finance Minister Smt.Nirmala Seetharaman. She should have done a lot of homework by thoroughly studying the budget or listening attentively to the speech, instead of asking odd questions with no common sense whatsoever!
