Stage 2 of the Frankston Campus Master Plan is the $67.6 million Frankston Campus Redevelopment Project. The state government funded project aims to provide a state-of-the-art learning hub for courses which respond to growing local industry needs. The multi-level facility, due for completion in 2023, will replace buildings C and E and complement the now complete Stage 1 development.
The new multi-level education facility will deliver 9,600 square metres of learning spaces and enable the relocation of existing classrooms and workshop areas to premises that are more conducive to a modern learning experience. Dedicated spaces designed to look like industry-specific work environments will be complemented by flexible fit-out and infrastructure. The latest learning technologies will be deployed in bespoke spaces dedicated to Community and Social Services, Business, IT and Cyber Security, VCE/VCE Vocational Major, Foundation College, Art and Design and Sport and Recreation.
The precinct will also bring together a range of student support services into a Student Hub, offering enrolment support, student services, and student counselling, along with the Learning Commons, gallery space and onsite food and retail outlets.
