It really hit me to see that Franky really was a hometown hero. Picked up the people from the streets and gave them all jobs, gave them purpose. Really love that aspect where I feel a lot of others skip over.❤
the flashbacks showing how he made his Franky Family always makes me cry. He took this disparate, lonely, downtrodden people and not only gave them food and happiness, he gave them a home, a place to belong and most of all a family. It really shows how much he loved Water 7 and its people and how hard he tried to do good while continuing to give himself a bad rep out of guilt.
He basically did what Tom did. Took in riffraffs and made them a family. Also, the people of W7 may call him names and insult him, but Iceberg pointed out a major thing. Franky acted as a bounty hunter hunting down pirates too. So he only picked on PIRATES thus he acted as a protector for the people
Franky's farewell cemented his place with the Straw Hats. Morally gray good guy, just like the rest of them -------------- Even after they set sail they were still giving Usopp time to come back. That was pretty damn risky. Garp is scary strong. Imagine him in his prime. Luffy's and Zoro's selective hearing shows they understood the situation. They still wanted him to come back, but there were rules. He needed to acknowledge his position and the importance within it. Not a matter of who was right or wrong, just as Zoro said. More a matter of recognizing who is in charge. Luffy is still his best friend, but there are times when he is the captain, and Usopp has to acknowledge that. And now we're whole again.

Love this reaction because you realize that the reason why most of crew act like they are not hearing any usopp talk before he is apologize to them so the rule for accepting usopp that zoro explained still fulfilled.
People say Zoro is uncaring for that statement but HES SPECIFICALLY CHOOSING to ignore Usopp so his point still stands. That by not hearing Usopp, the apology will be the first thing he hears
I like how Zoro and Sanji are the ones who understood Usopp has to apologize and that they can't be begging for him to come back either, they are a crew with no hierarchy beyond "Captain" and while that allows for everyone else to treat each other as equals, it also puts a lot more pressure into Luffy as someone who's responsible of people who are giving their lives for his dream. Both Zoro and Sanji saw that Usopp can and *has* done better, this is the same guy who would let himself be hated by everyone in his village if it meant protecting their peace, the guy who deceived the Rap God with his thingamabobs and went to Enies Lobby even if he needed Sogeking's help. They hold him at high regard because he's proven he deserves being thought highly of.
Ussop is one of the greatest characters in One Piece, he will be one of the best characters in media when he fulfills his dream. the guy that was whining for 1000 episodes straight becoming Zoro level of badass, I cant wait honestly.
Sengoku is the only person Garp takes orders from and even then if he doesn’t really wanna do it he’ll half ass it just enough to say he tried. If he wanted to Sunny sunk it would’ve been with his first throw.
I really love that both Franky and Iceberg end up surpasing Tom in their own way,Tom's greatest achivments are Roger's ship and the sea train, but he never took to sea with Roger and he didn't see water seven prosper in full. And now both of them are doing that with the sunny and iceberg's plan to make water seven a ship. Now for One Piece at a time: In the manga there are certain chapters named " the second" or "the fourth" when a new member of the crew joins this one is called "the third and the seventh" beacuse Franky but also Usopp.
The way Zoro says Usopp once he finally apologises makes me smile every time. He's a hard ass (and rightfully so here) but he really loves the guy aand has high expectations of him.
Zoro is 100% correct. If they just went to Usopp then all the character development this arc for Luffy and him would mean nothing. Luffy’s growth as a captain would mean nothing.
hell, when we saw everyone being all serious about it while Usopp WAS trying to make excuses for his actions and trying to downplay what he did, directly proving what Zoro was talking about.
I love Ussop scene, but in the manga to me is just perfect: is almost two pages of Ussop apologizing, and we dont really see the reaction of the strawhats, but when you flip the page the first thing you see is Luffy´s hand stresh to take Ussop back, is sush a powerfull image i love it
A popular ship in the community is Frobin (Franky X Robin) because of the fun contrast between their personalities, their similar levels of emotional maturity, as well as their touching interactions on Water 7. But also MOSTLY because Robin was WAY too excited to grab his junk like seriously girl what the fuck
i ship zoro and robin cause of their chemistry. its really subtle, but they always protect each other. like in sky island, sabaody, thriller bark, etc. their personality are like the same too

Be honest. We were all shaking our heads at Usopp during this episode like bruh. The way he immediately proved (to the viewers) Zoro's point was both hilarious and sad. Atleast it all worked out in the end😅
Our 4th is back while we gained an 8th! Very nice all around! 😉 Also, it's now clear why we didn't see Garp at Enies Lobby.... the guy's literally a one-man Buster Call himself. He'd pretty much put every other marine out of a job if he handled everything by himself, lol. 😂
323 is one of the many episodes where Zoro steps up and absolutely delivers when he's needed. That speech he gave is some real vice captain shit. So much respect gained.
I love that the crew was all serious and worried during the last scene, not because they're fighting off Garp's barrage but they genuinely want Usopp to come through but not without a sincere apology.
According to me Water Seven saga is the only saga which ODA was able to write 100% as he brainstormed and envisioned. All arcs before Water Seven and after it, i am pretty sure few things didn't cone out according to ODA's satisfaction.
@@royalfun1031 based on my experience reading one piece manga, i do find few moments which i felt ODA either wanted to write it differently or due to length of arc didn't get space to elaborate the moment. Water Seven is the only saga in manga where it is written the way ODA wanted from the start. Sometimes you can understand the writer's mindset based on story progression.

Damn, I forgot how good these two episodes were. Say what you want about Toei Animation, but they did nail a lot of episodes back in the day. This was peak One Piece adaptation, no made up bullshit, just straight up elevating the manga content.
there are 11 manga volumes from water 7 to enies lobby arc to conclude stories of robin, franky , usopp. turmoil up and down, shipwright turns out to be super evil government agent and then evil franky turns out to be shipwright and new crew that straw hats looking for. there is no arc story that so intense like this one
Of course Robin can be very ruthless reminding her backstory. She is a mature woman in her late 20s, havin lived most of her life (half of it as an adult) among villains of all sorts, most of the time hiding her true identity - her 79 mio Berry bounty would be to tempting for treason. So I doubt there´s much she´d resile to do to protect herself or reach her goals.
I know franky joining and making the ship is important and usopp coming back needed some weight due to the set up but i don't like how the story pushes robin conclusion to the back for the other 2 when this was her saga...she deserved more here

To this day, all of Zoro's speech still bothers me and not because he is not right that he has to apologize, but because it is like the 51362nd time that they put him almost like the captain, there are people who can command respect just like Sanji or nami Zoro in itself, if it weren't for Sanji, let Luffy finish telling him to leave the group, plus he talks about respect when everyone since Arabasta or even more respected Luffy (removing the gags where they hit him and disrespect him, where no one is saved) in the end it is okay that I told him that he has to apologize but that they give it so much importance and that other members who also have their importance only listen to him as if they were children makes me sick
22:55 - They have a crew mate that could manifest body parts ya know... Leave an ear at the island for example and just narrate it to the boat what he was saying, they really couldn't hear him. She already done it once already, while Usopp was falling from skypia, Robin searched for him with an Eye to Luffy's hand while it was stretching and just narrated his direction
Ngl, I didnt really like how they got Franky to join. It felt too sexually violent and forceful, especially since the main theme of the Straw Hats and especially Luffy so far has been to let people make their own decisions. Their freedom. Not by strong arming them and certainly not by essentially "torturing" them to join lol. The fact that Robin is the one who does it also leaves a bad taste in my mouth, mainly because she kinda owes it to him big time and he was nothing but kind and gentle towards her. I get that it's supposed to be joke and all, but a Straw Hat joining the crew and the themes that that involves shouldnt really be sacrificed for a gag. Maybe I'm just a bit annoyed at how lightly sexual violence against guys is taken in media, probably because of my experiences. I understand why most wouldnt care, so this is just my opinion. Still a nice end to the arc, though. Edit: btw, before anyone goes "oh but she only did it once in the beginning, she didnt hold on," yeah any guy who has had any kind of "uncomfortable incident" involving those knows that the actual act can be very short, but the pain can go on for hours.
