Remember the anc landed Tshwane with millions of debt during the time they ruled. Brink had to work against this backlash and still managed to get a recommendation for financial excellence and provided the suffering Hammanskraal people with clean water. Service delivery is without a hitch within the constraints he has to function in. Lesufi and Mashaba are the people to blame here. NOT BRINK!!!!!!!!
To correct your lies. ANC left Tshwane in a surplus. DA put Tshwane in negative, DA failed workers. I am glad his analysis failed and I disagree with his analysis
Personal vandetta!! Sies ANC, Actionsa Shame on you...even a 5yr old can see this is not about service delivery, what example are you setting for upcoming generation??😰But worry not 2026 is not far 🤞🤞🤞
@McdonaldNGCOBO maybe. But he's also done a 180. And the DA is playing a large role in focusing on the country and its progress. Not playing petty politics. Don't forget that that little man screwed the DA by making deals with the EFF while he was Jhb mayor. His silver tongue must never be trusted.
And in 6 months Mashaba will want to flip back and I hope the DA and others tell him to pis$ off the ANC did a terrible job for last 30 years what makes you think they are now going to do a good job ... OR MAYBE theres a plan and Mashaba wants his slice of the pie.....some tenders going his way.... only time will tell...cadres are going to eat again.
Anyone thinking that the GNU was going to run smoothly is a fool. Anyone thinking that the GNU would equally apply at provincial and municipal level is a fool. Anyone thinking that these little bumps means that the GNU is falling apart is a fool.
He is on the mark most of the time but it doesn't look like there is anything to support his claims that the majority people who voted ANC are in favour of the current DA/ANC coalition. He also seems to believe in the dangerous idea of so-called "markets" determining who leads our country.
@@AndrewMcFarlane_1 Shem sani, such a comment points to a bot that survives on colonialism and the benefits of apartheid. Does Helen still believe that colonization was a good thing?
@@ProcaviaCapensis-ts8ub Phola, I haven't made that claim. What is evident though is that the alliance partners of the ANC have made their position clear on this coalition. NEHAWU even have a popular song that articulates their discomfort with this coalition. The SACP is also very clear.
Herman I had your back, but thank you for showing your true colours. Cilliers Brink was the hardest working mayor that I am aware of. You made a huge mistake.!!!!!
@@elizabethafonso5416Herman' might have been a hard worker and still not given credits he deserved when he was in DA. Why PA, ActSA and BOSA were against DA.
@@sharonadams9721 you are not being honest....most greedy and powerful people belong in the 10% in this country...those who used violence to take control of minerals, banks and land, ..the billionaires....Zuma and Lesufi...are not those people....
He Could but there will be huge consequences when it comes to his support base. Alot of people dont understand the balancing act Ramaphosa is playing for the country due to how factionalised the ANC has become so to keep the good side of the ANC running he needs 'time' to stratigically weed out the radical factions within the ANC such as Lesufis RET faction
@@toeriencd that will be Ramaphosas downfall. He can't get rid of Panyaza....remember Ramaphosa is in his 2nd term and one foot outside the door. ANC can recall him like they did with Mbeki and Zuma Unfortunately he can't do sh*t to Lesufi now
I have no time for anyone who works with the DA!!! Blacks are the majority, they hate the DA bar a handful of socialists (mainly black women)… It’s time Pretoria wakes up and starts listening to the youth , we don’t vote because there is NO PARTY TO VOTE FOR!!!!! The DA was never a fucking option to begin with as the HATE WHITE PEOPLE more than they hate black people… The DA is nothing more than corporate South Africa’s secularist lobby group! Wake up man
I'm quite confident that it will function if these two parties decide to work together, the ANC and the DA must make an urgent arrangements, this coalition government is very crucial for the ANC and the DA
Not sure what the makeup of ASA votes in Gauteng is. But one thing for sure is that former DA or VF voters will think twice next time. I'm just so relieved I never gave Mashaba my vote I would be sick to the core now.
Sorry but South Africa is already Junk Status, we are nothing anymore, then you still believe everything all the parties promises. More talk no action. At least the DA shows some action and trying to do something. IM NOT FOR DA BUT GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DEW. Im in Thwane and knows how hard Cillier works and do.
Why don't they tell Lesufi he belongs in the EFF. He will always be a problem. I am so disappointed in Mashaba, he has absolutely no vision of the consequences of his action .....he is toast.
@@spandel100When was he ever promising? Anyone that voted ActionSA obviously doesn’t read between the lines. It was always plainly obvious that he is a one man show, dictator wannabe.
I wish when these people when they vote somebody out they should replace withsomebody who can function but unfortunately it never happens, they remove and put exactly the worse person, the reason for all this waste , THEY DO NOT WANT TO GIVE A CAHNCE TO A YOUNG PERSON WITH IDEAS. It is just a stomach politics. That is why there is no delivery of service and as long as they continue with this chop and change we are going nowhere.
The problem with the majority of these small parties, is that they are so *desperate* to gain some clout / more power / feel relevant - they're all destined to make deals that aren't in the best interests of the country or their voters.
What you miss is that around June/July 2025 the ANC holds its NGC midway in between the National Conferences. Will the ANC take a risk of trusting CR into 2026 elections whose outcome will be more bloodier than May 2024 elections for the ANC? Read between the lines
Yeah, we hear that the succession talks are ongoing, people say they will also struggle to justify working with DA and FF+ when its time to campaign. The NEC should have recalled him after he lost 17% of the vote in one election cycle. People still remember to which organization Chris Hani's assassin affiliated with. I can't imagine how SACP can mobilize for a gov that includes DA and FF+
Always learning something new from this man! Frans can break down information pragmatically and without emotion and bias✅ He has plans for every situation, very grateful. Tshwane could be incredibly beautiful
Are you sure Ramaphosa will stand for a 3rd Term as ANC president Or you wish he stands? Mashaba was once a darling of this channel. Is he not behind the no confidence motion? For once resist the negative diatribe against your " percieved natural enemy" and tell us sbout the reliability of Mashaba.
@@SueLeo1 My point exactly. The guest was making speculative suppositions about survival or lack of it of the GNU basing his argument on "alleged" Gauteng descend of it in the GPL.
Herman Mashaba now like Malema. Lookinv for a crack to squeeze through to get off the backburner where the elections put him 😂😂😂 Desperados, the pair of them
Nobody asks why the DA is in this position where they lost the vote today. From 2016 to 2021 the DA lost 11% support in Tshwane and there is a damn good reason. From 2016 the city turned from a functional relatively clean city to an absolute mess. I have to also admit that there has been an improvement since Brink became mayor, but is it to late to save the DA here? 5 Useless DA mayors down the line, and yes, I include the absolute useless Solly Msimanga who is now provincial leader (maybe that is where the problem in Gauteng starts), and Tshwane turned into a non-functional rubbish dump. Now suddenly there has been an improvement just before the national election and a miracle happened. Our streetlights came on for the first time in 5 years! Does that mean, I as a resident must be satisfied with the decay that has taken place since 2016? I always hear about the corruption they inherited, but have yet to see any prosecution - there has been none since 2016! Only people removed from office was a city manager who was found guilty after some contract he handed out, and he got a R12m golden handshake. Then we had one DA mayor messing around with his PA and another dropped because of another dodgy deal. I can write pages and pages with my interaction withy this council and all the tears of frustration I have been through. I feel sorry for Brink, but he is a consequence of years of neglect by the DA controlled councils in Tshwane.
Decay by design. Our leadership structure is like flies being attracted to honey. It is all about what THEY can get out of it, not what they can put into it. Before any mayor is put into position there must be a clear picture of what the residents want : A capital plan as well as an operational one. All executives will only receive pro rata salaries depending on the degree to which their quarterly performance meets the set targets. This principle must be drawn though all ranks. Every person should know : remuneration is dependent on measured performance. No willy-nilly bonusses. If this principle is applied, then the riff-raff will shy away from the leadership and operational positions ; only those who want to accept the challenge will be attracted.
It means nothing to GNU really,John said they will do everything in their power to stay there.this is local government and it got nothing to do with Ramaphosa.DA themselves said they don't want ANC there.
DA must acknowledge one thing. They will not win in the whole of SA politics. The message is, stick on what you can do the best and time and history will tell. Do not want to be hero by all cost. Leave the people to do what they think it is best for them.
The Country put their trust on DA. ActSA and DA has issues. Mashaba doesn't want DA. I think he knows their tricks. It's tough to judge as we still waiting to see the impact after 2 years You maybe liked by majority while there are some people you've painfully hurt Most of the congregation like Pastors but Pastors hurt the minority that told them the truth... 🤞
I pray and hope MK and EFF especially MK never buys into lies and deceits of ANC and DA. The two are the same, sly foxes you can never trust. Trust is a biggest thing that politicians do not understand. That is why they are shuffling back and forth without achieving anything.
Tshwane Mayor is brilliant we can see the improvement Herman M is awful now and causing a lot of trouble I and many feel it’s unfair as this mayor Cilliers is brilliant Tshwane residents will be sad to lose Cilliers
I think Ramaphosa is skating on very thin ice. Soon he will be called names like a sell out or counter revolutionary. I can not see a positive outcome for Tswane due to a vast complex network of medieval style patronage and power plays. Lesufi is an extremely sharp cunning man but i doubt very much that he has a heart for the ordinary man.
The ANC would be naive to put all its eggs in the same basket with the DA knowing very well that they are planning to destroy them. I think it is a good strategy not to over trust the DA.
That sound like intolerant statement and not wise! "Wisdom posses ability to work with your enemy especially those you burn with passion of hatred towards"
Very disappointing from Cronje. Clearly the key player is Mashaba. He says nothing about him and how his motivations are ref more broadly. Cronje is of those analysts who deduces from his general views. He should be more humble and do the detailed empirical work needed to find out what is really going on!
That should become part of the law so that the people who agree with the criticism of those moving the vote, will have to justify themselves and also expose them if they are just doing it for their own selfish reasons.
According to a news article in News24 it is not just the provincial ANC but also the National ANC : "National ANC leaders approve local caucus vote against Tshwane Mayor Cilliers Brink"
@@psylentrage No That is the point, just show that you cannot trust the ANC one thing if they want the DA to vote for them and another when they want to run a municipality which they ha ruined already.
Yiu can talk as much as you want this isvSieners BESEMBOS REGERING and cant last. A country with 11 languages 8 tribes, Tutu's rainbow nations, no nit happening and im positive fort😮
The DA doesn't have a devine right to lead Tshwane. Action SA is not beholden by the DA. It cannot be that only the DA can choose whom it wants to work with. All the embers of the now defunct Moonshot pact made a promise not to work with the ANC but look who's is flying around the world with blue lights working with the ANC now. Action SA has a right just like the DA to make decisions that are good for them as an organisation.
It is not about anyone being beholden to any party. It is about a proven track record and the interests of the people of Tshwane. Mashaba and his cronies have nothing to offer other than self interest and there are ANC members in Tshwane who have vested self interest they want to protect and exploit. Mashaba is trying to do a deal with the devil. People have to wake up and see what is going on rather than the spin expounded by ActionSA and the Gauteng ANC corrupt gang. I sincerely hope this vote of no confidence fails .
Quite true but it is also true that ASA voters have a right to vote for someone else next elections. It won't be long before we see just how popular this is with ASA supporters.
Not sure the of the point you are trying to make about 'rights' that political parties have with regard to making decisions that are good for them . . . please clarify! At this moment in our history, I believe the future direction of our country stands head and shoulders above the 'rights' or ideology agenda of any political party. It's time we work together . . . in my book, following that path right now, will show great leadership.
