Frantic last 5 minutes of  

Many riders have complained the track is dangerous and needs to be recovered. Apparently it moves under them in some areas. That's scary at over 200 mph.

They just need to repave it...

It's one of the most dangerous track which they don't like but have to ride like mad man bcoz of system

It’s the ground here east of Austin. When they designed the track they brought in an expert to test the ground for the foundation for the paving and it was going to cost a ton to do it right. So they just ignored the expert and built it on a cheaper laid foundation. The soil here expands and contracts a lot so repaving it doesn’t really fix anything. To really fix it they’d have to rip the whole track up and redo the whole foundation before repaving it. Bottom line is they should’ve done it right the first time and now it’s always going to have issues.

If you think that was sketchy you’d faint watching Marquez live around COTA. Marquez going into turn one at COTA was a thing to watch. I’ve been to COTA every year and a lot of the fans here are bummed he’s not racing . Watching in person at COTA you can see his rear tire a foot off the ground for a couple seconds. Even before it was back down he would start leaning into the corner…when it finally came back down and touched he’d just throw that Honda full lean and get on with it.

@@Ivan-iq8bu Mir is a world champ in multiple classes. His Moto3 season was more successful than Marcs, so much so he almost broke Vale's records. Mir is an exceptional talent.

It was never in doubt. I know it's a prototype title, but maybe DORNA needs to consider stealing a few RPM from the duke so we don't see them humiliate Yamaha on the straight so bad.

Race direction inspects crash data, if anything was odd, you can bet (as long as the rider isn't Marc) they will investigate.

Bike seems to have made no real development since last year so afraid we may be in for another year of misery for Yamaha, although Honda seems to have found a little something at least for today with Rins.

@@legendgamer676 I think the Yamaha Inline 4 love story has ran its course. Ducati and Honda eat Yamaha alive. It would be cool to see what Fabio could do on a Ducati dialed in to his riding style.

If he jumped out to Aprilia, I would be just as happy tho, I mean of course Yamaha has legendary domination for the last 2 decades, but Ducati domination right now is no joke, Yamaha is no where near at the moment, and it may took years to finally leveled again

Laguna is too small, Indy has walls, Perhaps the long circuit at Utah MC? I don't think that track meets the required standards though. Tough one, because you do need a US-GP, but this track surface is dangerously undulating, and they don't seem to want to resolve that problem.

@Sam Black US does need a gp & of all the countries in the world that could throw money at it I'm surprised it hasn't, given the amount of World Champions the US has had in the 500 era. Build it & they will come.

@@Hydrnaught It's a shame the US decided to turn inwards and pretend their national titles are world titles, we haven't seen world tier US riders for a long time because of this, on dirt or road. The grid/gate of a world title is much better with some yanks on it. Brings eyes and hype. I grew up watching Gardiner and Doohan fight with Lawson, Schwantz, Rainey. In spite of being an Aussie, I rode like Kevin and idolised his crazy loose style, as a teen I owned a Lucky Strike RGV. The sport was huge, and yanks being there was definitely a huge part of that. The greatest racing rivalry of any sport or era IMO is Schwantz/Rainey. For road racing, you guys gotta send your talent over to compete in spain as pre-teens, it is unfortunately the only way back to the top, currently. Cam B might not have got a podium in 3 years of competition, but man I respect him for trying instead of continuing to dominate MotoAmerica. Dirt just send them to Europe, it's a damn shame guys like Tomac are too scared to lose in Europe, because it means no young Americans are going to compete against the best in their most important development years. Sure, he wouldn't be that competitive, some top 10's, maybe a single moto podium here or there, but he would encourage young talent to go compete at world level instead of hanging out in their own back yard pretending they're winning world titles, then being furious when a guy like Jet walks in from a few years in Europe and humiliates them on tracks he's never ridden.

@Sam Black all so true, a world series can only be that if it includes.... the world! The u.s. can't deal with loss psychologically, the riders you mentioned were true Champions of the World. You're right the u.s have turned in on themselves they can't deal with failure. Hurling made Tomac look slow, because he was when faced with a truly fast rider. Hopefully, things will change.

blame Dorna for poor marketing... I mean, every qualification video of F1 got millions of views, and that's only for FP or qualification highlights video. I'm also prefer MotoGP as I'm a fan since I was a child, but for real F1 is so good right now and I'm just as happy watching it, maybe because MotoGP lost his icon, like Rossi, or maybe Marc, I'm a huge Rossi fan, but after his retirement, I continuing to watch MotoGP just because it's my weekly habbit, just a habbit, If I have no time watch live, I'd just don't bother to skip or watch the highlights, I mean I'm not spiritually attached to this sport like I used to, but still I love MotoGP

As of this year, There’s less media restrictions in the paddock, more fan interaction opportunities, they’ve just hired that NBA guy to lead the commercial stuff which is a massive thing. It’s basically them finally realising they cannot just continue thinking ‘this will do’ it’s not enough. Also the Sprint has been a major success. It’s just so many millions don’t know about it due to the lack of accessibility for tv viewing

Woy bro. Ini MotoGP bukan roadrace bebek indo. Udah bukan masalah berani ga berani lagi. emang feeling sama motornya aja belum 100%. Namanya juga baru pindah tim.
