Yeah he missed something. Makes me feel that that the orchestra is not so good. In many places the timpanist is MUCH late. for example in the end at 10:19 he comes like an 8th note late. Although it is pretty hard to play in some concert halls when you are in the back so you cannot listen to others and you have to only watch the conductor to keep the time even though it sounds weird. If you listen to others, you will be late because of the acoustics. The sounds comes later to the back.
I wasn't commenting about him having a lapse in memory. My comment was meant to notice and applaud the bassoonist's focus and dedication to bringing energy to the ENTIRE piece. I don't agree with you. This is a good orchestra and he is an ELITE bassoonist.
