Love Fray Bentos pies. I think that the 'new improved' versions are better, but I loved the old pies too where you were lucky to find any steak or mince! That puff pastry topping (and the soggy stuff below) is the best bit!

I love fray bentos pies too! Got JD hooked on them and now we can’t get them in the United States 😭 try the vegetable Balti one, it’s proper nice and usually on special in Poundland (2 for a quid) 👍🏻
You can get assorted flavors in US thru Amazon. Today a pkg of 2 pies of 425g of minced beef and onion is $26.00. Doesn’t look all that tasty in this vid. For $12 ea,I have lots other choices.
Nothing wrong with FB pies I’ve eaten them for over 50 years, I still have FB steak puddings too but since they were made microwaveable the pastry isn’t the same unfortunately plus they used to make them in two sizes but they’re now only available in small. Tell you what I’ve not seen in years, Goblin puddings there was a steak pudding and I think there was a meat pudding. While we are on the subject of puddings what happened to the big Heinz’s simmer in the pan sponge puddings, I loved the chocolate one.
Happy Easter 🐣Usually when stuff says new and improved I most of the time find it's worse. They mess around with the recipes so much that in the end they can't sell them anymore. Yep the best part of them is the soggy pastry. If I had to eat a Fray Bentos pie it would have to be this mince one. Nice one Eddie 👍

Glad to see they’re addressing customer demand, always lacked a decent filling, seems after many food blogs they’ve cottoned on to it.. as you know sending out ‘trial kits’ to certain bloggers, amazes me it took them so long 🤷♂️
Jeesus....think everyone used to eat these fookin things......looking at that wet pastry now makes me wanna vom!....but we loved it back in the day. Not sure if i could handle that pastry now, i would have to burn the bollox off it to cook the underneath.
These are £2.10 on Low Price Foods at the moment. There are plenty of bargains but you do need to buy £20's worth to get half price delivery, or it's not really worth it
I like your reviews and your sense of humour and you are absolutely right the puddings are rubbish it is better you cut out much of the swearing shite is still okay though.

may be you should have done a review on a few Easter eggs. really for £3 it is no way value still not worth what it use to be £1 there is only around 60g of meat. still far better just to get some puff pastry and cut to a side and cook then just get some mince and onion yourself and make some thing that makes enough for more than 1 person.
Fray bentos are MINGING uncooked pastry is not good, mind you brother my guilty pleasure is hotdogs f knows and I don't wanna know what's in them lol😅 but I love erm
