Luke Stogden they could make a remake with all of the actors but having the original actors be the parents and have other actors as their kids being the freaks and geeks
URCHIN SAM absolutely what I think. They should make a second season on Netflix with the characters 10 to 15 years later. The main cast still looks very young they could easily base it in 1990
Just watched the season a second time and have been in a bum mood all day because of it T_T I wish they had at least made a second season. Just one more season!
+Frostbyte yes they knew half way thru they were filming that it was going to be cancelled that's why the series started to get riskier eg. The topic of kens gf who had both male and female genitals.. I was a huge fan back in 2000 when it came out and still am.. I was gutted there was only one season but at the same time not sure a second season would have lived up to it
From the articles I’ve read, Apatow didn’t see an audience for the show and it was his decision not to make a second season. I think I even watched some doc with Seth Rogan in it and he said none of the cast agreed with the decision. It’s too bad, Netflix has now forsaken me too :((((
A reboot sound great, but how would it be possible? Twenty two years have past, and without THIS cast in THIS situation (high school) just about everything that is loved about the show is gone.
I knew this show was magic when it first aired. Foolishly though I only taped "I'm with the band" and the last three episodes on the good old vhs cus I thought I'd tape them as they reran that summer while we all waited for season two to start. Little did I know we would all get screwed!
Another one of the many shows that proves TV execs don't actually watch their own programs for enjoyment. They only read the $$. Also if you have a show with a cast and crew that gets along very well you should probably think twice about canceling it. Chances are it will pay out in the long run due to the cast/crew actually enjoying working on and working to make the project better.
NO idea why directors are getting annoyed at people who mess up all the time! If I were one, I'd treat them fairly, and let them just have a good time! And, I'd enjoy their bloopers!
I both do and do not understand it simultaneously. Had I been a director, I'd love for there to be a relaxed and fun vibe on the set as often as possible. But ultimately, time is money, so if the actors keep messing up take after take, I can see why some directors start to get stressed out and want things to move at a reasonable pace. But yeah, some directors seem to be way too much "no nonsense" tight-asses. I mean, for example, I love James Cameron's movies, but a lot of things appear to indicate that he's had quite the temper during his career.
Yeah, that's not gonna happen. It's been 14 years, the actors won't be able to play high school or college aged characters and it'd be hard to come up with a whole new story line and make it work.
Lol.. It was before mobile phones .. It was like a little device that would beep saying someone was trying to get hold of you and to call them.. But you couldn't use them to make calls.. They are still around .. Dr's and paramedics use them at least here in Australia
Why did they only make one season of this show?! Apatow was so wrong about this show!!! I used to be able to watch it on Netflix and then they took it away. I’m very upset 😠 lol
