While not super famous. Linda Cardellini was in Good Burger, was the lead in the bone chillers tv show on ABC, was on Kenan and Kel, was in majority of episodes of the show Guys like us, The Lot on AMC, several episodes of Boy Meets World, etc. before this show. So there’s people who could’ve known her then
Except Busy didn't speak to James Franco, they're even sitting apart. It's well known how mistreated she was, he even shoved her into the ground once. She wrote it all in her book.
@@coyfish4610 The story I heard is he shoved her in the context of taking a scene too serious. That's still a shitty action, but not one because he hated her.
Gotta love the moment where Martin Starr comes in late and someone (Apatow?) tries to tease him about it saying "Oh look it's Martin Starr...What happened were you in a car accident?" and Martin just dryly responds "Yeah. That's what happened." lmao
Busy Philipps had some serious acting chops at such a young age....she was great as Kim, and really superb in this episode....she transformed a "mean girl" into a vulnerable human being.
Imagine that Lindsay’s only consolation during the Kelly family dinner blow up scene that at least she’s not apart of Kim’s family is gone and you have a perfect representation of my involvement in so many arguments between my mother and younger sister over the years. I could only play hapless bystander and later patient mediator as disputes over car ownership, trampy behavior and falling outs with mom’s crappy boyfriend ran rampant. Sometimes I took on the role of the person on the couch awoken by the fray instead. That entire scene captures the dysfunctional family unit so well it’s unreal. So many other shows try and fail to get it....
@@gromeka Neil and Bill had a conversation about rape. Bill told Sam that Karen might be a rapist and he should be careful. Then he says if you get raped you go to hell and some other kind of cringey stuff It did not make the actual episode
Don't think people even to this day understand what it meant to be 'middle class' between 1978 - 1982. Living on a tight budget, frozen microwaveable meals, family owned hardware stores, doctors/dentists cheating, over parenting, sense of community via high schools.
My native language is not English, and I don't understand where the actress of Millie messed up by saying "she fornicates it"; isn't that what Millie actually said? I don't get it haha
The joke is that kim goes to the room to have sex IN it, but the actress says ‘ she fornicates it ‘ implying that kim has sex WITH the room instead of just inside of it LOL so she corrects herself afterwards and just says ‘ she fornicates ‘
I think it is meant to show that Millie (and even the actress, accidentally) is so uninformed about sex that she thought “she fornicates it” is the right thing to say (instead of “she fornicates”) and is the same as saying “she does it” with “does” being replaced by “fornicates” when she clarifies to Lindsey what she means. And Lindsey seemed to know what Millie meant by “she does it” but just wanted Millie to say the thing she didn’t want to say since Millie is such an uptight religious girl. “Fornicate” is also a very proper, unemotional, and religious way of saying making love, having sex, fucking, etc, so it further shows how foreign of a concept sex is to Millie and how much judgment she has of people who have sex before marriage.
Dima S. , Millie also says in the show that she thinks it’s “sad” that some girls are “fornicating it”... it’s a naive and innocent but also judgmental and religious view to have, in my opinion. I thought the same way myself in high school because of a conservative upbringing that taught me that sexuality is something to be ashamed of. “We can’t all be girl scouts, Millie,” says Lindsey, showing that she is being less judgmental than Millie even though Lindsey herself has not had sex. Millie is often very sweet, but I didn’t find her sweet in this moment. But if you find that moment to be sweet, then that’s a valid perspective for you ❤️
Joe Biden with the glasses back there is getting a kick out of this. It's always been so weird to me how behind the scenes of a lot of these teen shows there's like grown ass men.
