This reminds me of high school. I hated high school. I hated that place. Felt like it was constantly stripping me of... myself? Don't get me wrong, I was good at everything I did, no shortage of accomplishments but wow did I feel incomplete. Every time I entered the school gates I was consumed by so much sadness. I thank God for my best friends. I cannot imagine what would have become of me if it weren't for them. Any time apart from them would only make me realize more and more how sad I actually was. It's been about 3 years since then and my heart still hurts when I think back on how broken I was. Weirdly enough, while this song floods my mind with painful memories and emotions, at the same time, it makes me look forward to a future where I'm complete. I don't know how to explain it but it's wonderful.
