Very Cool! My wife and I just visited there in June of last year. Im originally from that area, but live down in GA now. There is a movie in the works about the cemetery and I have composed some music for it. Enjoyed seeing the actual cemetery.
Having the opportunity to visit all of these Cemeteries is amazing. To.learn what we could about them before we visited was pretty cool too. We look forward to do this again October 2021
You are absolutely right. This was the second cemetery from our first year doing this, and we do try to improve as we go. It originally was vlogs to show the haunted areas and kind of evolved into showing the old cemeteries over the years. We do appreciate the time you took to watch and thank you for the feed back.
They don't allow anybody out there anymore that cemetery is closed it is not known who cuts the grass or takes care of the graves to us that live in the area they do it themselves because nobody's allowed out there
Im originally from Streator and we had a scary night there in 94 tried to get the hell out off there but the damn train beat us so we had to wait til it passed by but we heard thumping on the car hood no lie everybody freakin out lol
Travis-T never been good with Scary things either. We were lucky enough to not experience anything like that... but it would have made the video more epic! Thank you for supporting our videos!
I swear that train blocks everyone back there at night. It did it to me & my friends several times. And then when I was grown the same thing happened to my kids. And then I hear others talk about it as well. Nuts
ive never heard these stories, always heard there was a woman carrying a lantern once every ten years on halloween or something like that. check out livingston manors poor farm cemetery on 66 between chenoa and pontiac. there are only numbers on the graves. i used to work at the manor before it was torn down.
@@freaknetstudios there is a little sign marking poor farm cemetery but your dad would know where livingston manor used to be. it was very old. before it was the manor and the poor farm, a catholic orphanage used to be there. thats what my grandma told me.
Same here! We always look for the ones that seem to have been forgotten with time. But searching the most haunted, we come across some still used today! Thank you for watching our videos and I hope you enjoy to others!
I've lived in Streator my whole life why don't anybody know about those two little girls that were murdered in that Cemetery? It was the late 1800s early 1900s two little girls family lived right outside the cemetery a farmhand lead them to that Cemetery and killed them after abusing them. That cemetery is not used anymore and usually when that farmhouse on the first turn to get their sees anybody going down that road they call the cops no matter what time of day or night it is. There is also a legend of the hatchet lady her son died in the Civil War and she protected his grave supposably she is still there. And if you go there at night on a full moon there is a tombstone that glows this is not a legend I seen it the moon hits it just right and it is so neat. If you want a tour of somebody who knows that area knows where they found the girl and can show you the spot where you see Barefeet prints in the snow that I believe are those little girls hit me up I'll take down a real tour.
One thing I loved most about doing these is learning new legends and events that occur with the cemeteries. The hatchet lady I did hear of, but the murdered children is new to me. I've heard other ppl mention the house that calls on ppl and we were lucky enough not to have that happen to us
Little secret behind the scenes, Cartoon Joe is a real Pastor & Travis-T wears the same cross that was given to him as a child. Precautions are made lol
Were you greeted by the Livingston county sheriff dept? The house out on rt23 on the corner watches people who drive to that cemetery. They give you a certain amount of time to turn around and come back out. If you do not come back out right away, that house will call law enforcement agencies to report you being there. They have been having a rash of vandalism there. So now they won't let anyone in there anymore.
We didn't have any issues being there. We're there around 8am in the morning and we're there for the better part of 40min. Obviously we wanted to film as much footage of the cemetery as possible, but wanted to respect those you call this place their resting home. So we didn't spend more time than we needed.
At night they will. Plus they have cameras up out there too. It gets your license plate & you get a ticket mailed to you for trespassing. My son went to check out how scary it was & got a ticket with a picture of his car & plates a few years ago.
Hey Janice! Sorry for the late response. But, for Future Reference, the road to the cemetery is off of E 3150 N Rd Streator, IL. when you head south on N 500 E rd, you'll turn right on 3150 N Rd. Cemetery road is first right after the tracks. hope this helps for your next visit. and thank you for supporting the videos!
The vlogging thing was/is new to us & the shaky camera has been the collective suggestion. We are looking into the proper equipment to limit this as best as possible for future visits
I used to have some very solid evidence of that place being haunted me and my friend Christina went out there and took pictures and no one was smoking and it wasn't cold enough to see your breath either and when she snapped the picture you can see three faces and like a cloud of smoke and one of the faces I remember clearly it looks like an older man with a beard and wearing glasses
When we went I swore something "kicked" an acron across the ground. Joe thinks it fell from the tree and bounced, but this definitely was more of a skip across the ground thing. Different places give off different feelings and this place really had a "being watched" feeling. Our series in Indiana had a few of those and a couple in Wisconsin did too. Can't wait to see what Michigan has to offer this year. Thank you for sharing your story and experience.
I’m from Streator and what I was told about of that hatchet lady was that she murdered her two kids with an Ax. They were a boy and a girl. She then hung herself in a barn that got torn down. I went there in the late 7O’s in highschool. The story says you don’t want to be there at midnight on a Thursday with a full moon. The hatchet lady will appear. When you hear the train around midnight the orbs which are ghosts appear and that is an indication that the hatchet lady is coming. You car will die and you will be stuck there till the train leaves. Well! It happened to four of us. We were there at that time and heard the train and all of a sudden these orbs were floating around us and it scared us bad. We all ran to get in the car and lock the doors and get out of there. I tried to start my car and it wouldn’t start. We could see all the orbs around us in the windows with a haze like fog with flickering lights. Everyone was screaming in my car scared. The train kept blowing its whistle and my car just wouldn’t start. Then the train whistles sounded low in the distant as it was leaving and suddenly my car started and the orbs with the fog dissapeared. We got out of there like a bat out of hell. You can no longer go there at night now like we did. It is truely haunted from my experience. They did have vandalism going on there which was a shame. That’s why it is closed at night. I was told the cops really don’t want to go there either at night. The haunted stories are true. I was there and experienced it.
That has been the most terrifying story of this place yet and reading this at 2am wasn't smart on my part 😳 Thank you for sharing your story and for watching!
Thank you. I have been haunted by the thoughts of that place for years. I will never want to go back at night. It was so scary. I’m a believer on the legends now.
I swore I heard chainsaws. It could be someone near by so that can be explained. But there was one moment I felt an acorn was kicked across the ground randomly. Thank you for watching!
Now another story that was told is that the hatchet lady was called Bloody Mary by some and there was also a story that a car full of kids were trying to leave because of being spooked and their car stalled right on the train tracks and they got hit by the train and got killed. So you don’t want to try going over the tracks when the train is coming because your car will die or stall the minute you hit the tracks. You better wait before the tracks and let the train pass if you hear it because your car won’t make it over the tracks while the train is coming.
Yes, it is a strange phenomenon that happens there also. My friends and didn’t believe the stories. We were just curious teenagers checking out the legend and got caught up in it. We all were believers after that night.
I think some people are more receptacle to the unnatural. Some are not. If you never seen ghosts you won’t believe it. If you have, that makes you a believer. Some places are haunted and unexplainable why? Science can’t explain everything and you have to be there and experience it to believe it. Once you see it, or experience it, you will will definitely change your thoughts on the subject of being a non believer.
I rember my aunts car a chevy aveo dieing on the tracks cause of the magnetic field lol never seen nothing scary out there tho and I've been there hundreds of times people.i been with said they seen or heard things probly just freaked themselves out
I do agree that people do freak themselves out sometimes. If I remember correctly, this location had a legend of a hatchet woman, and we did hear chopping coming from the wood (weird). Also, there was an acorn that did skip across the ground as if kicked by someone. We were the only ones there...... Thank you for sharing your story! We heard a story about the Aux Sable Cemetery and cars not starting if parked on bridge an turned off..... didn't happen to us though.
@@freaknetstudios yeah the legend said on old widdow and her son lived out there and the son wold get picked on on the way home from school so the son eventually took his own life and the widow went crazy and started chasing the local kids with a hatchet streator was called hardscrabble in those days due to the fact the terrain was so rough it was a scrabble to get the horses and buggies into town
Appreciate the feedback on this. We will do better to improve that. We were worries about length of time, but we can figure that out for the next series this October
So few reasons why it's titled this way. 1. It's on the list of the most haunted cemeteries in Illinois, our network is FREAK Net Studios that puts out a podcast called This FREAKIN show that during the month of October releases show title This FREAKY Show. So double meaning for it. Also, it's illegal to go into a cemetery at night without permission.
Thank you for you feed back. Unfortunately, we would not be able to film the whole cemetery from one spot. The shaking is an a problem that came along with out inexperience in vlogging. Something we look to correct this next series. But as you stated, this was your last, so that won't matter to you.
Look old people are depressed, no sex, no fun, can’t walk no motivation, tv sucks, world is changing and we feel sick, getting old sucks, have fun while your young cause death is calling you.
