Discovering Fred Again was the best thing that happened to me this year

Im a nurse. I worked all through the pandemic. My daughter had to live with her dad for 3 months while i went to work in a nursing home. We were fed to the dogs, no help etc. I would drive to work listening to Annie Mac, Radio 1. I first heard this on the day i kissed goodbye to my daughter, in her dad's care, while i went into the unknown. I didnt know if i would ever see her again (we were all so terrified back then, if you remember). I sobbed all the way down the Rainford bypass, then, this came on. I sobbed, but with a different emotion. This song kept me going through all the craziness. I dont think I'll ever be able to listen to this song and not feel that same emotion. Ever. And I'm glad, i want to remember it. The most emotive song i think i will ever hear. What an iconic piece of musical history. Thank you Fred Again ❤ xxx

This song when it came out made me feel so much things, even now when relistening to it and transported back. In de midst of the covid pandemic, restrictions on social life, people being divided and isolated. I was living at a cohousing farm at the time, with my then gf whi’s a dj and played this track more than once on the small social circle parties we held to get through these rough times. I’m sure this song hits other people just the same, each colored by their individual stories of how they experienced this strange period in their lives. Thank you Fred 🙏🏻

Even if the original producer made a new version it would not come close to how this feels. Everything is right. Every emotion captured. Everything fell and locked into place. 11/10 stars

This song gives me that feeling. There was a time when we were young and vaguely aware of how screwed up the world is but we were risilient. All we had was each other, just a couple of waves in a sea of faces in a warehouse full of teen spirit. I was always in the drum n bass/jungle room but there was always a banger floating out of the main room that was just undeniable. And you would lose yourself in it. Forgetting your troubles, we would all just dance. Sometimes dancing is all you have. And we lost that during the pandemic. Thank you for this beautiful song.
