Definitely. The fact that his humour was typically ‘good natured’ and didn’t involve putting other people down / insulting them, made it even better and funnier IMO. I’ll never forget his reaction after Ashley brief became a vegetarian due to Maxine’s influence. That ‘mini-rift’ was hilarious.
I remember a scene where he was canvassing with Audrey, they came across a mother with a baby in the pran, Fred leant into the pram and yelled "hello little baby". For some reason i pissed myself laughing
His grandson, Joshua, when dressed as Spider-Man once fired webbing at him with Ashley mentioning that he looked like the kingpin. Later in the episode Fred actually shouted “Kingpin demands you”. I think it was a Christmas episode
I can say for certain of course but I don’t think so. This clip was definitely after Derek died though because Mavis was selling the house to move away.
