My daughter coordinated bringing Fred Penner to Merritt for a concert as part of the Canada 150 focus in our community. My wife's daycare (Little Skipper Daycare and Preschool) participated as one of the sponsors, so I volunteered to do the video to capture the memories. We enjoyed a family dinner with Fred and his wife, Rae Ellen, and even had opportunity to sing one of our favourite daycare songs, "Sandwiches are Beautiful", around the dinner table.
