That’s a lie about the responsibility as a restaurant stopping the date. They ply the daters with unlimited drink while they wait to enter the restaurant. At least in Fred’s first series. If he’s talking about the girl who went on a date with the “black Phil Mitchell” she had a problem with alcohol and they showed all of their date. Completely humiliated them both.
