Meet Fred!
He's an American White Pelican who fell behind his migrating flock two weeks ago due to a really nasty illness.
In this video, Rehabber Bob feeds Fred some fish before moving him inside ahead of an incoming snowstorm with frigid temeratures. Staff transformed Greenwood's Waterfowl Nursery into a pelican fort. :)

Man, nature is amazing. There is so much diversity, I would never get bored learning about all the different species out there.

something about the way that guy just picked up the pelican amazed me. Pelicans are such interesting birds. Their my favourite bird. Such a grand bird

Was just down at the Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve on Sanibel Island and saw a million of these things. They let you get pretty close. Especially the brown pelicans.

I found 5 pelicans flying in a hill park and the thing is *we were not even that close to a beach in the uk* well there was a beach but it was a bit far
