Fred was one of the best comedians and impressionists I had ever seen. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person on board the Carnival Cruise ship to Hawaii in October 2008. I remembered him from years ago and mentioned the silver bullet. He was so excited about the fact that I mentioned it during a personal signing and he sent me a silver bullet and autographed photos to my home. Something I never would have expected from a star. He will sorely be missed. I enjoyed all his impersonations.

First off Fred was very sick during this performance. You can tell by how puffy and red his face was. He was obviously on the show because he was old friends of David Letterman from the 1970s. I saw Fred Travalena in the Northridge Mall - J.C. Penny store in 1991; he was shopping with his wife and he looked healthy with a still thick mane of hair. For everyone complaining that this wasn't any good should watch "Fred Travalena's First Tonight Show Appearance"
He was 66. I just read it online that he died in 2009. That was too bad. I had a lot of fun watching him when I was a little kid. I think he was the best
Good job with presidents Kennedy and Ford were perfect.I used to watch him and Rich Little on the Copy Cats back in the 70's.Sad to hear of his passing.Fred dedicated his life to making people laugh, well done Fred RIP.
"Here is a Master Impressionist who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame" . . . and he is known as "Mr. Everybody". Except, until just tonight, seeing this blurry RU-vid video, I have never in my entire life ever heard of "Mr. Everybody" or ever heard of Fred Travelena. Ever. At all. Am I just living under a rock? Or is it easier than I realized to get a star on the walk of "fame"?
Very sad to hear that Fred Travalena passed away. What a talented performer. The clip shows just a small part of what made him special. He brought a lot of joy to the world. RIP.
Fred Travalena is one of those celebrities you haven't thought about in quite some time, but when you are reminded of them, you recall just how entertaining they were. He will be missed.
I hear ya,and you`re correct.But just as you and I had to learn who Bogart, Gable and Crosby were, these youngones should take the initiative and get educated to the stars of yesteryear.If we could do it, so could they!
I knew of his various cartoon voiceovers... at the time, that's all that mattered to me, as I was a kid. But his scope was so far beyond that, I realize. What a gem he was. Bless his soul.
