Im soooo glad Freddie Gibbs is getting the recognition he’s always deserved. I also love how vulnerable and humble Freddie is as a person in all his interviews.I’m so thankful for piñata and bandana and look forward to Montana. Now I cannot speak on behalf of Freddie, whether he was impressed or not, but I felt that "that" question was actually trying to pinch Freddie for an old dispute he had with Jeezy which involved an Eminem feature for a song that Jeezy requested for Gibbs.. Freddie wasn't feeling the song. As a result, some tension was there between Jeezy and Em and he blamed it on Gibbs. So, I guess by asking this question, they wanted to see how he reacts to that old issue.

I saw Freddie and Lib at Bonnaroo back in 2015. Really dug his music, but seeing him in his pocket live in a festival setting and on his damn birthday, perfection. I was a solidified fan from then on. Dude just keeps it a buck all the damn time and damnit can he spit. Definitely one of the GOAT!

It would be nice for Gibbs to receive the attention of a Grammy nomination but it's not necessary. Those awards but have meant something at one point but as the mainstream industry has become watered down, so have the awards.

Ginga of course he don’t need the Grammy and the Grammy itself is meaningless but he clearly expressed his inhibitions to be validated in the rap game after being blackballed in the rap game and if u know Freddie’s Gibbs story you know it’s a real story of a pure triumph and niggas need to put respect ✊🏼 on his name but most don’t cuz he is a threat to everyone else in the rap game ... Can’t believe Bandana wasn’t nominated for a Grammy. Definitely best rap album of the year & easily one of the best album of the year. And it was my favorite album of the year! Madlib is a genius! & with Freddie Gibbs they make incredible music together! Freddie Gibbs deserves to be on all the best albums of year lists! And thank you Guardian for giving the album a perfect score!
