Freddie wrote this song so he could fulfill his dream-to sing with his idol Montserrat Caballé. This song was picked up by Olympic organizations as anthem for 1992 summer Olympic in Barcelona. Unfortunately Freddie died in 1991. Montserrat Caballé refused to sing this song with anybody else. As the result, in the opening ceremony they played the music of this song but no singing.( Caballé was there singing with a different program but not this song).this song also listed as one of the best anthems in Olympic history.

They had a deep love and respect for each other and it shows. This performance always moves me to tears.

Freddie was taken to an opera, was so impressed with her that he said he would love to meet her. When she found out she made it happen. They became great friends. At his funeral she was the only one who sang.

Freddie is so versatile, he also sings opera and was amazing too..he submit the demo tape without lyrics to montsy-as what she wanted freddie to call her, and she loved it..they made an album eventually and was a success..

Freddie and Montserrat were really good about giving each other they're moments - largely in part because they had equal admiration for each other. They were both big fans of the other and were both so excited to work together. It really comes through! You should check out The Golden Boy next!

This never fails to give me chills, they were such good friends that Montsy was at the unveiling of Freddie's statue in Montreux after he died. RIP to Freddie and Montsy. I've edited this because I was an idiot and put Montreal instead of Montreux.

All Reactions It’s overlooking Lake Geneva. Freddie had an apartment there, overlooking the lake, while they recorded in the studio inside the casino (which they had purchased) It’s now a museum to Queen. He took notes of his view from the window and laid down some audio tracks. Queen released it on the album “Made in Heaven”. It’s called “A Winter’s Tale”. The video shows the view and Freddie’s handwritten lyrics. It’s beautiful.

Sadly Freddie passed away and the world lost a unique voice and personality. The beautiful lady also has since passed away to join Freddie in music heaven.

Makes me cry every time I see or hear this. Even the choir were gazing at him adoringly, knowing they were in the presence of someone that surpassed genius level. Miss Freddie so very much.
