I used to live down the road from Freddie, we drank in the same pub. Lovely guy on and off stage. He has an amazing singing voice, and he sang with The Jordanaires.
Spent my growing up years watching this guy... absoutely hilarious, whatever show he was on would just be chaos... 70s and 80s in the UK was a fine time for comedy and this guy was the top end
Now you understand why the audience starts laughing as soon as he come on stage. Before he even said a word, everybody crapping themselves and laughing nervously about what he was going to do 😂😂
Freddie was outrageous, a nutcase, yes he did throw them maggots at Faith Brown female impersonator and comedian, it was a Celebrity Audience with Freddie Starr.
Freddie is a legend from Liverpool, a mad genius of scouse humour, he actually threw rice into the audience at that "audience with" gig, a true heroic stalwart of comedy, hounded to his death, like so many others by the so called "NEWS" outlets and propaganda filth spewing cess pit controlled by rupert murdoch. the "REAL FOMENTER OF CURRENT GLOBAL CHAOS" just like everything and any-one that ceases to make profit for murdoch, Freddie was destroyed in the filthy rags and monopolised media owned by murdoch
I've spent time, dodging this video; because Freddie Starr was part of the Jimmy Savile culture. He was certainly tied up in it; but who knows what happened!!! ...??? He was accused; but insufficient evidence meant he walked away. Who knows what happened in those years! There are many "stars" of the time who are in prison now; and more who are suspected. A great comedian, of his time; but who truly knows what happened? Only Jimmy Savile; and his cohort; and the victims.
The audience in some of these clips were celebrities.. they had specials on television an audience with... & all celebrities were in the audience watching stars x
Just watched the video and realised that's my theatre - I've been technical manager there since the early 90s, and we had Freddie Starr many times - but I'd forgotten that shows till now!
His “ Vincent” routine where he struts up and down the stage at the same speed as a faulty backing tape literally made me pee myself a little , not proud of that but it’s a fact , it was THAT funny 😅 👍🏴
Good morning (here anyway ) 👍hope you're both well, nothing like an intro about man boobs to get your day started🤣Freddie was just like you two, he also gave zero fks🤣 that was a damn good laugh, thank you ✌️🍻
I was at one of his shows i think around '84 or ' 85 ish, (but memory not great) i was a young teen, it was at the White Rock, Hastings, England, and i really don't think I've experienced so much anxiety since 😅, we were second or third row, crazy crazy man 😂🤣
freddie made his audience nervous but it was all done with jest no malice and the audience loved him he gave us belly laughs , thats why the 70s generation like myself grew up happy and not on anti depressants
Yes he throw real maggets, loved him growing up. Lmao😅 just reading down, rice, well for all the years i thought it was magnets lmao more fool me😅 i also remember being a kid falling of my chair laughing
I was an audience member, and yes, he picked on me lol, I'mrarely embarrassed, but believe me, I wanted to hide in my chair 😅. Wont forget it and also won't forget my mother in law chasing him off stage because he finished early 😅. Great memories of that day though.
Did really throw them maggots? Shit that was one of the nicer things he had thrown at them, and no they didn't know and aren't in on it, he was really crazy not acting but really bat shit crazy and didn't care about how famous you were he would treat them all the same, You'll never see anything like him again ever, the world has made sure to get rid of all the real funny people,
we could laugh at our selves back in the 70s and 80s even the 90s but now the snow flakes just dont get it and have had a comedy by pass ,and spoiling it for others
