As a young couple my wife and i booked a superb package holiday with Laker in October 1980! It consisted of 9 nights in LA at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard opposite Graumans Chinese Theatre, followed by a further 9nights in Waikiki beach Hawaii, flights included even tho Laker did'nt fly the LA/ Hawaii legs,the flghts by Hawaiian Airlines were included in our package all for £428 per person and what made this trip even more memorable was the dollar rate of $2.44 to the pound!
