I had the benefit of sitting beside the great Freddie McGregor on a flight First Class from Miami to Kingston (Air Jamaica) years ago and he was such an amazing, down to earth positive human being. I will forever remember that experience. He continues to touch people’s lives in a positive way and will do so for years to come with his music. A true Jamaican pioneer in the music industry and a great family man. We should all try to learn from and emulate people like him. He is the definition of a Jamaican Patriot. One of the top joys of my life was seeing Freddie with Sly and Robbie from the front row in my native San Diego when he was at the top of his game.
